JANET STROUD

OAK RIDGE — Graveside service for Janet Stroud, 65, of Oak Ridge, is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 in New Resthaven Cemetery with Bishop Roger Adams officiating. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Church of Latter Day Saints, officated by Bishop Roger Adams.

Mrs. Stroud died Dec. 29, 2007, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 10, 1942, in San Bernadino, Calif., to Harold C. and Sylvia L. Pederson Nielsen. On April 30, 1977, she married Leslie Stroud in Hollister, Calif. She was employed as a secretary in the transportation industry.

Survivors include her husband, Les Stroud of Oak Ridge; children, David Butler and Kristen Butler, both of Gainesville; and sibling, Richard Nielsen.

She was preceded in death by her father.

JOHNNY PAUL

BUCKALOO

Graveside services for Johnny Paul Buckaloo, 57, of Sherman are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Callisburg Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

He was born Aug. 16, 1950, in Sherman to Dock and Mary Louise Garcia Buckaloo. In 1979, he married Josephine Herrera at The Ranch. He was employed as a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Buckaloo; mother, Mary Louise Buckaloo; sons, Bruno, Juanio, Colt and Robert Buckaloo, and Edward Esparza; daughters, Claudia and Mauricia Buckaloo; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Robert, Dock and George Buckaloo, and Conception, Mercedes, Ray, Joaquin, and Richard Lozano; and sisters, Gloria and Lisa Lozano.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Buckaloo; and son, Lee Rodriguez.

Visitation will be at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home at 7 p.m. today.

JASPER “TOMMY” ROBERTS

Services for Jasper “Tommy” Roberts, 72, of Gainesville are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Hollis Parsons of Tabernacle Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Cooke County under the direction of the Clement-Keel Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mr. Roberts died Jan. 2, 2008, at Denton Regional Hospital.

He was born Feb. 14, 1935, in Southmayd to Carl and Lula (Cox) Roberts. On Feb. 23, 1957, he married Alice Huckobey in Gainesville. He was a member of Eastside Church of the Nazarene. He was a maintenance engineer for Bayfield Industries for 20 years and a crane operator for Fulton Supply for 20 years and served in the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Roberts of Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Sharon Roberts of Whitesboro and Scott and Tammy Roberts of Alexander, Ark.; daughters and sons-in-law, Carla and Ronnie Noble of Saint Jo, Jill Trahan of Collinsville and Amy and Virgil Woods of Collinsville; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Betty Roberts of Southmayd, Butch and Joann Roberts of Denison, Mickey Roberts of Denison; sisters and brother-in-law, Sue Baker of Denison and Joyce and David Spencer of Denison; and sister-in-law, Rosie Roberts of Collinsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Doug Roberts; and brother, Bud Roberts.

Pallbearers are Randy Wooten, Billy Wooten, Bobby Arrington, Charles Roberts, Johnny Shaw and Joe Hood.

Honorary pallbearers are Omas Roberts, Woody Spencer and Michael Spencer.

Visitation will be at the Clement-Keel Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.



WILLIAM MASON BRANAM

WHITESBORO – Graveside Services for William Mason Branam, 87, is set for 1 p.m. Saturday at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas with L.V. Phelps officiating with services directed by Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.

A visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Branam died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at his home in Whitesboro.

He was born June 23, 1920, in Edom to Henry Marlin and Edna Mae (Ramsey) Branam. He married Frances Gay Nell Barnes in Hill County. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a union carpenter by trade, a member of the VFW and was a Baptist.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda Joyce and Lonnie Campbell of Lake Dallas, Suzanne Schultz and Herbert Maybank of Charleston, S.C., Peggy Nell Bobby Webb of Whitesboro; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Samuel and Sharon Branam of Danville, Va., John William and Patty Ann Branam of Rowlett, Timmy Earl and Stacy Branam of Whitesboro; brother, Hubert Branam of Dexter, Kan.; sisters, Catherine Christian of Waxahachie, Helen Drake of Midlothian, Freddie East of Red Oak, and Malvanie Matthews of Dawson; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Branam; parents, Henry and Edna Mae Branam; and eight siblings.

BARBARA FRANCES LUNDBERG

Graveside services for Barbara Frances Lundberg, 63, of Sanger will be in the Sanger Cemetery Pavilion at the Sanger Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2008, at Coker Funeral Home; 403 Pecan Street; Sanger, Texas.

Mrs. Lundberg died Dec. 31, 2007, in Sanger.

She was born on Nov. 30, 1944, in Gainesville to C.B. and Flora (Martin) Neal. She was a homemaker. She married Richard Lee Lundberg on April 19, 1967, in Gainesville. She was a graduate of Callisburg High School and a member of the First Baptist Church in Gainesville. She did volunteer work for the Camp Fire, Sanger and Gainesville schools.

She is survived by husband, Richard of Sanger; daughter, LeAnn Morris of Sanger; son, Richard Neal Lundberg of Sanger; sister, Linda Velazquez of Torrence, Calif.; brothers, Don Neal of Alice and Jack Neal of Lexington, Ky; and one grandson.



LETA BELL VANNOY

COLLINSVILLE – Funeral services for Leta Bell Vannoy, 89, are set for 2 p.m. today at the Collinsville Church of Christ with Olden Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Collinsville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home at 401 Hwy. 377 N. in Whitesboro.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Vannoy died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at the Collinsville Care Center.

She was born on April 25, 1918, in Ethel to M.F. and Gladys (Burgin) Thompson. She married Ivan Vannoy on Aug. 10, 1935. They were married 61 years before he died on June 29, 1997. She was a member of the Ethel Church of Christ until its closing and was a current member of the Collinsville Church of Christ. She was a homemaker, cook and seamstress, and refurbished furniture. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends and playing the piano and organ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; son, Tommy Vannoy; daughter, Barbara Vannoy Dutton; one grandson; sister, Lois Blumberg; and brother, Ted Thompson.

Survivors include a son, Dickey Vannoy of Collinsville (Ethel); two granddaughters; two grandsons; brothers, Bill Thompson of Denton, Donald Thompson of Lubbock and Bobby Thompson of Dallas; five great-grandsons; and one uncle.

Pallbearers will be Mike Vannoy, Brian Vannoy, Matt Waggoner, Carl Don Daniel, Cody Daniel and Brandon Waggoner.
