CAROL ANN MARTIN PEARCE
Memorial services for Carol Ann Martin Pearce, 72, of Gainesville, are set for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at the First Methodist Church of Gainesville with the Rev. Don Yeager officating under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.
Carol Ann completed her final journey to the Lord on Sept. 26, 2012.
Carol was born on July 25, 1940, in Oshkosh, Wisc., to Carlton and Eleanor Bakken Martin.
Carol worked for Los Calinas in Dallas and Texas Women's University. She was a active member of the First United Methodist Church of Gainesville where she enjoyed Bible study, serving communion and assisting with Sunday School. Carol enjoyed her retirement with scrapbooking, gardening, raising cows, avid photography and living in the country. Carol lived her faith and will be missed by all. She was a kind and generous soul.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, H. John Pearce; sons, Brian and loving friend Amy Shockley and Eric and loving friend Erin Cummins; granddaughter, Harley Allison; sister, Marian Benz; and brother, David Martin and his wife Patricia; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, additional family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Gene Pearce.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Gainesville or Noah's Ark.
