Gainesville — CHARLES ROBERT MYERS

DALLAS — Myers, Charles Robert (76), of Dallas, passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, after a short battle with lung cancer. 

Charles was born on Aug. 31, 1936, to Pansy and Charles C. Myers of Valley View. 

He married his high school sweetheart Virginia Lowe on March 10, 1956.  Charles and Virginia moved to University Park in 1958, where he joined the University Park Police Department. He served his community as an officer from 1958 through 1998.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and his sister, Peggy Maddox. 

He is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Quentin Dudley of Garland and Carol and Ray Plaza of Dallas; and his sister, Mava Clements of Denton. Grandy, as his grandchildren called him, was a present and strong influence on their lives and character. They were his pride and joy: Lane Dudley of Nashville, Tenn., Tricia Dudley of Garland, Ann Dudley of Austin and Ariel Olivarez of Dallas; and great-granddaughter, Riley of Garland.

A private family celebration of life will be held at the Valley View Cemetery on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013.

SHIRLEY JUNE REITER

Shirley June (Tiller) Reiter, 77, was called to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, after a lengthy illness.

She was a housewife and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Victor Cruz officiating.

Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

A rosary with visitation to follow was held at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at the funeral home.

Shirley was born on July 8, 1936, in Gainesville to Hoyt and Ocie (Selder) Tiller.

She attended Gainesville schools and graduated in 1954. She married Gene Reiter on May 21, 1955, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Shirley is survived by her husband Gene; her three children, Cindy Lutkenhaus, Brad Reiter and his wife Connie of Gainesville, and Tim Reiter and his wife Sharon of Allen; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Lutkenhaus and wife Ileana of Denton, Corey Lutkenhaus and his wife Jade of Muenster, Amy Lutkenhaus of Gainesville and Joshua and Erika Reiter of Allen; and three great-grandsons, Tripp, Tate and Luke Lutkenhaus.

She is also survived by brother, Danny Tiller and wife Sandy of Cibolo, brother, David Tiller and wife LaDonna of Gainesville and sister, Vickie Hocker and husband Joe of New Braunfels; brother-in-law, Doug Reiter and wife Chubby of Gainesville, sister-in-law, June Bevans and husband John of Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Ocie Tiller; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rose and Toney Reiter.

The family wants to thank Home Hospice of Cooke County for their wonderful assistance and care during this difficult time. The nurses and staff are too numerous to mention. The family would like to personally thank Clara and Kathy.

CRAIG BROYLES

CALLISBURG — Memorial services for Craig Broyles, 52, of Callisburg, are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at Georgetown Baptist Church in Pottsboro.

Mr. Broyles died Thursday. Aug. 29, 2013, in Callisburg.

He was born Oct. 26, 1960, in Denison.

Survivors include wife, Sharon Broyles; children, Laci Molina and Stefanee Broyles; mother, Rhydonia Broyles; father, Leroy Broyles; siblings, Chad Broyles and Leah Phillips; and three grandchildren.

HENRY ANTON FELDERHOFF

MUENSTER — Funeral services for Henry Anton Felderhoff, 89, of Muenster, are set for 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster with the Rev. Ken Robinson officiating.

Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Muenster.

Mr. Felderhoff died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, in Muenster.

He was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Muenster.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Felderhoff of Muenster; children, Doris Dennard, Glenn Felderhoff, David Felderhoff, Floyd Felderhoff, Kevin Felderhoff and Craig Felderhoff; siblings, Rita Tucker, Emma Elliot, Philomena Ladd, Celine Schrage and Anselma Wright; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A rosary and vigil are set for 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Memorials may be made to Muenster Public Library.



ELINOR FRANCES GAGE

Memorial services for Elinor Frances Gage, 87, of Gainesville, are set for 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, in the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Yeager officating.

Mrs. Gage died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, in Gainesville.

She was born on Aug. 31, 1925, in Greenville.

Survivors include husband, Bill Gage of Gainesville; children, Carol Revell of Boerne and Robin Garcia of Odessa; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

LINDSAY — Funeral services for Marie Sandmann, 91, of Lindsay, are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lindsay under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
