JOHN D. WEST

Funeral services for John D. West , 88 of Gainesville will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hubert Wright officiating.  

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at the funeral home.

Mr. West passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, in Denton.

John was born on Oct. 10, 1924, in Bulcher to Theodore and Pearl Morris West.  He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1946.  On March 13, 1949, he married Helen Louise Franklin in Gainesville.  He was a driller in the oilfield until retiring in 1986.

Mr. West is survived by his wife of 63 years, Louise West of Gainesville; son, Franklin West of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Tricia West of Era; son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Mary Jo West of Valley View; grandchildren, Misty Dill, Chris West, Jimbo West, Angela Whitehead, Danny West, David West, Ann Cheaney and Jacob West; great-grandchildren, Seth Dill, Steven Whitehead, Amanda Whitehead, Maddux West, Easton West, Jancsi West, Gabriel Sandmann and Nate Cheaney.  He is also survived by his brother, Ray West; and several nieces.

John was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Virginia Williams; sister, Frances Beasley; sister, Martha Lou Reynolds.

Pallbearers will be grandsons; and grandsons-in-law.

JAMES CORDES

Memorial services for James Cordes, 49, are set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Mission United Methodist Church in Gainesville.

Mr. Cordes died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, in Dallas.

He was born Sept. 24, 1963, in San Diego, Calif.



CLARENCE “MOTT” JOHNSON

ABILENE — Funeral services for Clarence “Mott” Johnson, 52, of Abilene, are set for 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Meador-Clement-Keel Chapel with the Rev. Frank Lorne, pastor of Corinth Baptist Church, officiating.  

Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, in Abilene.

He was born Nov. 8, 1958, in Gainesville.  

Survivors include his mother, Gwen Johnson of Gainesville; father, Clarence M. Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif.; and brothers, Thomas Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif., Richard Johnson of Callisburg and Marshall Johnson of California.

EVELYN MCINTOSH

FORNEY — Graveside services for Evelyn McIntosh, 98, of Forney, formerly of Gainesville, are set for 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Kremling officiating.  

Mrs. McIntosh died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, in Forney.

She was born on Nov. 28, 1914, in Bulcher.

Survivors include children, John Wallace of Kirkwood, Mo., and Jim McIntosh of Forney; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

PHILLIP CLINKENBEARD

Funeral services for Phillip Clinkenbeard are pending with Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.  

Mr. Clinkenbeard died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Veterans Hospital in Dallas.



DONALD RAY FINCH

Funeral services for Donald Ray Finch, 68, of Gainesville, are pending with Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Mr. Finch died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at North Texas Medical Center.
