JERRY EDWARD “J.R.” ALLEN

WHITESBORO — Funeral services for Jerry Edward “J. R.” Allen, 75, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Jerry Davis officiating.

Interment will follow the service at Macomb Cemetery in Whitesboro.  

A visitation service is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the funeral home.

He passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, in Denison.

Jerry was born on Oct. 24, 1937, to Homer S. and Lois (Huff) Allen in Whitesboro.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1960.  He worked for Braniff Airlines and General Dynamics, and later retired from Tanglewood Resorts as a salesman. He married Azzaline Earnhart in June 1982. They were married until her passing on Oct. 10, 1986.  He was an independent man who liked to do things his own way.  He was a believer who loved his family.  He made time to speak with his brother, Kenneth, every single day.  He would help anyone in need of assistance.

He is survived by his brother, Kenneth Allen and his wife Barbara of Denton; nephew, Zachary Allen and wife Cassie and their daughter Kylie of Denton; nephew, Toby Allen of Denton; niece, Lacey Allen of Little Elm; uncle, Dr. Gene Huff and wife Gwen, of Whitesboro; good friend, David Erwin of Whitesboro; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Azzaline Allen; and his parents, Homer S. and Lois (Huff) Allen.

MARY GWENDOLYN RINEY BRIDGES

PILOT POINT — Mary Gwendolyn Riney Bridges, 88, of Pilot Point, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012.  

Mary was born in Pilot Point on Nov. 6, 1924, to Paul and Alma Kilpatrick Riney.  

She married Thomas James Bridges in October 1941, in Pilot Point. She later married Ray Davis on March 25, 1965.

Visitation is set for 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Huff/Slay Chapel in Pilot Point.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at 10 a.m. in Pilot Point at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with burial at St. Thomas Cemetery.

Mary is survived by her son, Harold Bridges of Pilot Point; three daughters, Nelda Cartlidge of Malakoff, Sandie King of Gainesville and Cathy Lee of Pilot Point; four brothers, Bud Riney of Pilot Point, Glen Riney of Irving, Ross Riney of Lucas and Sam Riney of New Jersey; four sisters, Polly Boerner of Pilot Point, Alta Jo Gillen of Pilot Point, Betty Cox of Collinsville and Carolyn Story of McKinney; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.  

Mary was preceded in death by her husbands; five brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services are under the direction of Terri Slay at Huff/Slay Funeral Home in Pilot Point.

GLORIA DERHEIM

Funeral services for Gloria June Derheim, 79, of Gainesville are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Callisburg Church of Christ with Ben Willingham officiating.  

Burial will follow in Callisburg Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Derheim died Nov. 24, 2012, in Sherman.  

She was born Sept. 22, 1933, in Thackerville, Okla.

Survivors include children, Rose Westbrook, Betty Sandmann and Richard Derheim of Gainesville; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Callisburg Church of Christ.

DELMO LAWRENCE WYLIE

WHITESBORO — Funeral services for Delmo Lawrence Wylie, 80, are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Era with Dr. Eddie Chennault officiating.

Interment will follow in Era Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home in Gainesville.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.

Mr. Wylie passed away on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at his residence.

He was born on Nov. 15, 1932, in Era to Lawrence and Jewell (McKinney) Wylie.

He graduated from Era High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Alice Ann Priddy on May 12, 1956, in Gainesville. He retired from Texas Instruments as an engineer tech after many years of service and was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Gainesville. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Wylie of Whitesboro; a daughter, Nickey McEwen of Ada, Okla.; four sisters, Ruby Grundy of Era, Rita Young of Era, Mary Farmer of Pueblo, Colo., and Betty Wood of Rockwall; and four grandchildren, Rebecca Koch and husband Mark of Abilene, Rachel McEwen of Oklahoma City, Chris McEwen of Ada, Okla., and Paul McEwen of Ada, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jimmy Lee Wylie; and a sister, Elizabeth Payeur.

Pallbearers are Milton Wilkerson, Rex Grundy, Dan Grundy, Richard Payeur, Phil Young and Ken Blakey.

ROYCE DEAN “PUD” ALBERT

Graveside services for Royce Dean “Pud” Albert, 89, of Gainesville, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Hubert Wright officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Ms. Albert died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, in Gainesville.  

She was born July 16, 1923, in Gainesville.

Survivors include brother, Ronald Albert of Walburg.

RICKEY DALE ZACHARY

Funeral services for Rickey Dale Zachary, 57, are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, in the Christian Life Center of Temple Baptist Church with Dr. Eddie Chennault officiating.  

Graveside services will follow in New Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.  

Mr. Zachary died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, in Gainesville.

He was born July 27, 1955, in Sherman.

Survivors include his parents, Roby and Jean Zachary of Gainesville; children, Megan Zachary and Krystal Zachary of Gainesville, Jennifer Bossert of Collinsville and Hope Zachary of Durant, Okla.; brother, Roland Zachary of Arkansas; and three grandchildren.
