KENNETH JAMES THURMAN

LINDSAY — A Mass of Christian Burial for Kenneth James Thurman, 71, of Lindsay, is set for 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lindsay, with the Rev. Ken Robinson officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Mr. Thurman died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Corinth Atrium.

He was born Aug. 4, 1941, in Callisburg.

Survivors include his wife, Janie Thurman of Lindsay; children, Donna Zimmerer of Lindsay, Sherrie Krebs of Bridgeport, Kenny Thurman of Lindsay, Beth Trubenbach of Muenster and Vicki Thurman of Lindsay; siblings, Loyd Thurman, Jr. of Fort Worth and Betty Binford of Marysville; and 12 grandchildren.

A Rosary is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at St. Peter's Catholic Church.

MARGIE HOLT

Funeral services for Margie Holt, 82, of Gainesville, are set for 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Meador-Clement-Keel Chapel.  

Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  

Bradley Lott, B.J. Lott, Robbie Sistrunk, Nicholas Schults, Mike Mozingo and Bill Dugger will serve as pallbearers.  

Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at the funeral home.  

Mrs. Holt passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at Pecan Tree Health and Rehab Center.

Margie was born July 12, 1930, in Willis, Okla., the daughter of James and Callie (Hilton) Dugger.  

She married Bill Gene “Red” Holt on Jan. 8, 1974, in Ardmore, Okla.  Mrs. Holt had worked at the Waffle Inn as a cook and waitress for many years and was a homemaker.  She loved to sew, quilt and work with ceramics.  She enjoyed arts and crafts,  gardening, country music and bingo.

Survivors of Margie Holt include her daughter, Deborah Lou Fuhrmann of Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricki Allen and Janine Sistrunk of Gainesville and Randy Joel and Sharon Sistrunk of Gainesville; brother, James Dugger of Marietta, Okla.; sister, Novie Brooks of Ardmore, Okla.; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers; one granddaughter; and one grandson.

Services are under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

PAULINE ROSE GRILL FISHER

DENTON — Memorial services for Pauline Rose Grill Fisher, 82, of Denton, are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster with the Rev. Ken Robinson and Rev.  George officiating.

Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Muenster.

Mrs. Fisher died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, in Denton.

She was born Jan. 14, 1930, in Midlothian, Ill.

Survivors include children, Nancie Lippe and Charles Fisher of Muenster, Kathie Herr, Laurie Lawrence and Richard J. Fisher of Denton, Virginia Kelson and Julie Walford of Corinth, Daniel T. Fisher of Lindsay and Ronnie Fisher of Wichita Falls; siblings, Mary Phyllis Yates of Watervleit, Mich., Kenneth Grill of Midlothian, Ill., and Keith Sharon Grill of Orland Park, Ill.; 27 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Sisters of St. Mary’s Namur in Fort Worth, The Loretto House in Denton, Blessed John Paul II of Denton or the charity of your choice.



DELBERT JACKSON SMITH

VALLEY VIEW — Graveside services for Delbert Jackson Smith, 79, of Valley View, are set for 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Tioga Cemetery under the direction of Terri Slay and Slay Memorial Funeral Center in Aubrey. Mr. Smith died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012.  

He was born Oct. 5, 1933, in Beelick Knob, West Va.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie of Valley View; stepchildren, Robert Warren McCulloch of Sunset, La., John Warren McCulloch of Plano and Meredith Starboard of Valley View; and one sister, Carol Gwinn of Hambalton, West Va.
