Gainesville — ROBERT DUDLEY

MINEOLA — Funeral services for Robert Dudley, 51, of Mineola, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel in Quitman.

Burial will follow in Chilton Cemetery in Big Sandy.

Mr. Dudley was born April 16, 1962, in New York City, N.Y.

He passed away Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle Dudley; mother, Jane Dudley; brothers, Jeff and Chris Dudley; children, Jason James of Krum, Nichole Dudley of Tyler, Christopher Dudley of Whitehouse, Jeffrey Cowley of Dallas, Kristen Cowley of Mineola, Matthew Cowley of Huntsville and Stan Walker of Palestine; and five grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Don Dudley.

He graduated from Gainesville High School and received his Masters of Education from Austin College. He was a coach and teacher for 27 years. He touched many lives along the way through teaching and coaching. Many students stayed in contact over all those years. He was a loving husband and father who loved the outdoors in any setting, and was a great brother to his siblings and never stopped teaching them.

Visitation was held at 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, Nov. 26, 2013, at Lowe Funeral Home in Quitman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Home Hospice of Cooke County.

JANET MARIE MORGAN

Janet Marie Morgan, 69, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at her home in Gainesville. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Morgan will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at Meador Clement-Keel Chapel with hospice chaplain Jerryd Wallace officiating. 

Interment will follow in New Rest Haven Cemetery.   

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at the funeral home.

Janet was born May 28, 1944, in Arp to Dewey and Marie (Carter) Tubb. 

She married Jerry Morgan on Oct. 23, 1964, in Thackerville, Okla. Janet was a former employee of Cooke County College (North Central Texas College).  She was loved by her family and was famous for her apple bread.

Janet Marie Morgan is survived by her husband, Jerry Morgan of Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Gina Morgan of Sanger and Justin Lynn and Thresa Morgan of Gainesville; brothers, Richard Ray Tubb of Houston and Thomas Dewy Tubb of Sanger; grandchildren, Chase, Zach, Mollye and Hayden Wyatt Morgan; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Grimes; and brother, Bobby Lynn Tubb.

Pallbearers will be Chase Morgan, Zach Morgan, Jeremy Morgan, D.J. Dodson, Tino Pequeno and Babe Bigley.

Arrangements are under the direction of Meador Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

RUBY JO CHILCOAT

Funeral services for Ruby Jo Chilcoat, 73, of Gainesville, are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Ralph Gourley officiating.

Mrs. Chilcoat died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, in Gainesville.

She was born Dec. 31, 1939, in Gainesville.

Survivors include children, Stuart Chilcoat of Whitesboro and Leah Anderson of Fort Worth; siblings, Iwana Brodrick of Bakersfield, Calif., Charlie Robinson of Lake Kiowa, Linda Mitchell of Whitesboro and Jamie Robinson of Gainesville; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services for Katie Eberhart, 82, of Gainesville are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, in the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Eberhart officating.

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Eberhart died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, in Gainesville.

She was born on Aug. 31, 1931, in Lubbock.

Katie is survived by her son, Larry Eberhart of Gainesville; sister, Janie Shasteen of Gainesville; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

ALICE PAULINE (DILLON) EDDINGS

WHITESBORO — Funeral services for Alice Pauline Dillon Eddings, 89, of Whitesboro, are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Joe Patterson officiating.

Mrs. Eddings died Nov. 22, 2013, in Whitesboro.

She was born Feb. 21, 1924, in Whitesboro.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Eddings of Whitesboro; children, James Stafford and Debra Bates of Alvarado, Gail Marie Dooley of Whitesboro, Robert Eddings of Weatherford, Connie Eddings, of Crowley and Jeffrey Eddings of Forney; sister, Annie Fielder of Whitesboro; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

GLENDA HAYNES

Mrs. Haynes died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, in Sherman.

She was born Oct. 8, 1946, in Knox City.

Survivors include husband, Harry Haynes of Sherman; children, Michelle Haynes of Sherman and Heather Hale of Gunter; siblings, Bill Dunnam of Whitesboro and Sylvia Goodman of Collinsville; and two grandchildren.

GUSTAVO ROBERT PARRA

Services for Gustavo Robert Parra, 72, of Gainesville, will be held at a later date under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Parra died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, in Gainesville.

He was born Feb. 11, 1941, in South America.

Survivors include children, Sherley Parra, Wilson Parra, Ireland Parra, Robinson Alvarado, Carlos Alvarado, Miguel Alvarado, Maria Schmitt and Neill Hitchcock; two sisters; and one grandchild.

JOHNNY MAXIE THOMPSON, SR.

COLLINSVILLE — Cremation arrangements for Johnny Thompson, Sr., 67, of Collinsville, are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.

A private service will be held at a later date. 

Mr. Thompson died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, in Collinsville.

He was born on April 18, 1946.

Survivors include children, Debbie Todish of Potlatch, Idaho, Angela Thompson and John M. Thompson, Jr. of Whitesboro and Freddie Thompson of Luella; sister, Martha Thompson of Muenster; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
