MARY MITCHELL
WHITESBORO — Funeral services for Mary Mitchell, 87, of Whitesboro are set for Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010 at Victory Life Tabernacle Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. David King and Rev. Ray Quinn officiating.
Committal service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Melissa Cemetery in Melissa under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mitchell passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2010 at Pecan Tree Nursing Home in Gainesville.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Wanda and husband Bobby Perry of Gainesville, Eunice Graves of Gainesville and Lou and husband Dewain Nolen of Leonard; son, Gerald Mitchell of Gainesville and Benny Mitchell of Gainesville and son, Marty and wife Lavonna Mitchell of Leonard; sisters, Ella Pleasant of McKinney and Catherine Schmid of Princeton; 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Winfred Mitchell; son, Carlton Mitchell and daughter, Linda Mitchell Phelps.
Mary was known by many titles: mom, mama, little mother, aunt, sister, friend and memaw. Regardless of what she was called she always answered with kindness and meekness. She spent some time at Pecan Tree where she was known as Mrs. Mary. She is described as pleasant, never complained, willing to help, ADORED her family, never wanted to lie down in fear she would miss something, a giver, proud but private, a sweet smile, beautiful, LOVED HER BOBBIE PINS, loved gardening and flowers and when advice was needed she was the advisor. She will be missed by all, but now will meet and help God gather flowers.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Mark Perry, Robby Graves, Jimmy Phelps Jr., Landry Nolen, Brandon Mitchell and Weston Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and granddaughters, Bobby L. Perry, Tim Graves, Brian Graves, Kevin Graves, Farral Phelps, Landon Nolen, Gayla Mayes, Melissa West, Sherrill Mitchell and Kaylee Mitchell.
The family would like to especially thank North Texas Medical Center, Pecan Tree Nursing Home and Cooke County Home Hospice.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cooke County Hospice or Victory Life Tabernacle.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening, Feb. 3, 2010.

GRACE M. SCOTT
Services for Grace M. Scott, 95, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010 at the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs, Okla. with Rev. Elmer Whitehead officiating.
Grace M. Scott died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 in Gainesville.
Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, Okla.
Survivors include four daughters, Barbara Dowling of Frisco, Connie Stovall of Gainesville, Mary Nel O’Dell of Lake Kiowa and Ginger DeCaluwe of Gainesville.

Services for Francis “Frank” Edward Thomas will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010 at the Sherwood Shores Baptist Church in Gordonville. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home.
Francis “Frank” Edward Thomas died on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010 at the Homestead of Sherman.
Frank is survived by his three stepsons, Paul Ware of Oklahoma and Tim and Scott Henrie.

Mr. Heltsley was born on Dec. 13, 1940 to James Lowell and Edith Cooksey Heltsley. James died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 in Fort Worth.
Survivors include his sons, Richard Heltsley, Fred Heltsley and Mike Heltsley and daughters, Marjorie Mea and Tammy Heltsley.
