CLYDE JAMES MIKKELSON

Memorial services for Clyde James Mikkelson, 81, of Gainesville, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Geo J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Roslyn Eugster officiating under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Mikkelson passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, in Corinth.

Clyde was born October 6, 1931, in Melbourne, Wis., to Nelson and Beulah Lucille Coates Mikkelson.

Mr. Mikkelson was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Clyde is survived by his children, James Mikkelson, Jeff Wagoner, Thomas Mikkelson, Jamie Mikkelson and Chris Mikkelson; and many grand and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Ida Sanford; and his brothers, Doug and Nelson Mikkelson.

Mr. Mikkelson was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara Mikkelson on January 20, 2012; his brothers, Bruce, Robert and Keith Mikkelson; and his sister Nancy Pearson.

DORSEY BAKER

LINDSAY — Dorsey Leverne Baker, 59, of Lindsay, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Methodist Hospital in Dallas.  

Visitation for Mr. Baker is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.  

Interment will be Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Rest Lawn Gardens in Newton, Kan.

Dorsey was born in Newton, Kan., on May 25, 1953, the son of Dorsey Dewitt and Lavera (Asendorf) Baker.  He married Charlette Nancy Taggert on July 7, 1977.  He had worked for Peterbilt as an assembly specialist for 12 years and for Borden Chemical for 15 years as an assistant manager.  Dorsey was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed hunting arrowheads, fishing, restoring antique furniture and watching western movies.  He was also an avid football fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors of Dorsey Baker include his wife, Charlette Baker of Lindsay; sons, Cory Baker of Gainesville and Zeb Baker of Gainesville; daughter, Kelly Baker Turbeville and husband Joe of Gainesville; sister, Marilyn Gordon and husband Jeff of Newton, Kan.; and grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter and Walker Turbeville of Gainesville and Emma Jo Baker of Gainesville.

Arrangements are under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

SHAWNA SUE CUTLIP

Funeral mass for Shawna Sue Cutlip, 45, is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Mater Dei Catholic Church, 2030 East Hwy 356 in Irving.



HARRY ROBERT HOLTHOFER, SR.

Harry “Bob” Robert Holthofer Sr. went to be with The Lord on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at the age of 84.

Bob was born Nov. 16, 1928, in Memphis, Tenn., to August Joseph Holthofer, Sr. and Donnie Rainey Holthofer.

He grew up in Memphis and served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Bob married his wife, Jeanette Pewett Holthofer, in July 1953, and raised his family in Hendersonville, Tenn. for 33 years before retiring to Estero, Fla., in 1996. He and Jeanette moved to Texas in 2009, to be closer to his children.

He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 60 years, Jeanette Pewett Holthofer; sons, Harry Robert Holthofer, Jr., of Hendersonville, Tenn., and August Joseph Holthofer of Lewisville; and daughter, Theresa Holthofer Cole of Lake Kiowa; as well as six grandchildren.

MYRON RADELL

Funeral services for Myron Radell, 91, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Ronnie Quaid and Jay Culpepper officiating.  

The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Radell passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, in Gainesville.

Mr. Radell married Carrie Faye Rodgers on April 20, 1944, in Bristow, Okla.  He worked for several aircraft companies and retired from Vought Aircraft in 1981.

Survivors include wife, Carrie Faye Radell of Gainesville; son, Stanley Myron Radell and wife Linda of Arlington; son, Roger Lee Radell and wife Lisa of Prague, Okla.; grandchildren, Tiffany Radell, Edward Radell-Thompson, Emily Waggoner, Sarah Kay Radell and Jonathan Radell; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

ELBERT LEROY GREENE

Funeral services for Elbert Leroy Greene, 75, of Gainesville, are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 2013, at Harvey Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Jordon Johnson officating.

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Greene died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, in Corinth.

He was born on Sept. 22, 1937, in Marietta, Okla.

Survivors include siblings, Glennie DeLaney of Stephenville and K.R. “Jack” Greene and J.D. Greene, both of Gainesville.

GRADY LEON GADDIE

WHITESBORO — Funeral services for Grady Leon Gaddie, 87, of Whitesboro, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Mike Bentley officiating.  

Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro under the direction of Meador Funeral Home.

Mr. Gaddie died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ in Sherman.

He was born on Oct. 2, 1925, in Whitesboro.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Gaddie of Whitesboro; daughter, Jane Thompson of Houston; siblings, Virginia Carter and Mary Lou Stinebaugh of Sherman; and one grandchild.

EARL RAY HURD

FORESTBURG — Graveside services for Earl Ray Hurd, 76, of Forestburg, are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Mt. Park Cemetery in Saint Jo with C.E. Cole officiating under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Saint Jo.

Mr. Hurd died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, in Forestburg.

He was born Sept. 5, 1936, in Saint Jo.

Survivors include children, Tina Swirczynski and Bryan Hurd; sibling, Joy Brunson; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at McCoy Funeral Home in Saint Jo.
