CAROL KAY KIESEL
Memorial services for Carol Kay Kiesel, 63, of Gainesville are set for 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 at Whaley United Methodist Church, under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Jim Goodwin officiating.
Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Kiesel passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010 at her residence.
Carol was born April 2, 1946 in Evansville, Ind. to Orvel and Jewell Stewart. She was a loving and caring wife to Paul Kiesel for 36 years, raising four children. She was a dedicated member of Whaley Church for 35 years serving most recently as chair of the Bereavement Committee as well as a member of the Administration Council and the Lamplighters Circle. She was a published author of three cookbooks with the most recent being, "Carol's Sugar Free Sweet Treats." She was the inspiration behind the local "Bear Hugs" program of the Home Hospice of Cooke County, becoming the first seamstress volunteer and providing numerous keepsake bears to many bereaved families. She was recently elected president of a local book club.
Carol is survived by many loved ones including her husband, Paul Kiesel of the home; four children, April and Tim Ross of Longview, Paul David and Cheron Kiesel of Rogers, Ark., Lyndell and Christina Kiesel of Midwest City, Okla. and Michael and Cassie Kiesel of Midwest City, Okla.; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronnie Stewart of Ada, Okla. and many nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Annette Schier.
Carol enjoyed devoting her time to whomever needed her that day. She lived her life wanting to understand the whole Bible and her life reflects that by the love, caring, and kindness that so many people received from her. She gladdened a lot of lives and will be forever missed.

RONNIE GLENN SCOTT
Funeral services for Ronnie Glenn Scott, 62, of Gainesville, are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 at the Hillcrest Church of Christ with David Gray officiating.
Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m this evening, Jan. 26, 2010 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Ronnie died Jan. 23, 2010 in Denton.
Ronnie was born in Gainesville on May 2, 1947 to Claude Scott and Orlene (Sue) Scott-Dennington. He married Nell McElreath on June 26, 1971.
Mr. Scott attended Gainesville Schools and graduated in 1965. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1966. He served in Japan, Vietnam and Tinker Air Force Base, being discharged in 1970. He entered the aviation field, earning his commercial multi-engine instrument rating, airframe and power plant licenses.
In 1972, Ronnie entered into oil field work as a rig mechanic in Peru. He drilled and pushed tools in Alaska, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Texas. In 1992, he started Oilfield Equipment Sales in Gainesville, building double cementers, single units, double acid pumpers and all kinds of bulk equipment.
Ronnie was a member of the Downard Fairplains community and a lifetime member of the Gainesville 1922 VFW. He also was very involved in donating to the local charities and organizations.
Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Nell Scott; son, Clay Scott; daughter, Mikinzie Bauwin; brother and sister-in-law, Don and CarolAnn Scott; grandchildren, Ashton Scott, Hannah Bauwin, Mariah and Mikaylie Biggers and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and by his grandparents, R. E. and Cordie Scott and Willis and Theresa Holley.
Pallbearers will be Matt Livingston, Warren Smith, Keith Aston, Brian Blanton, Eddie Dewey and Rudy Paclik.

BILLIE ROSE CROSS

Ms. Cross passed away on Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 at her home.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Avery "Marc" and Vickie Thomas; son, Willard "Wee" Thomas; daughter, Vellena Cross and her sister-in-law, Andrea Byars.
Ms. Cross was preceded in death by her parents, Miller and Lula Byars; brother, Robyn D. Byars and sisters, Lula Mae Evans and Thelma L. Newberry.

GREGORY STEWART BURGIN
LAKE KIOWA — Funeral services for Gregory Stewart Burgin, 60, of Lake Kiowa, are set for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Sammy Hughes officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
A visitation is set for Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Burgin died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010.
He is survived by his loving companion, Mary Lamon and sisters, Bebbie Schofield and Dana Vinsant.

ROBERT LEE SCHUCHERT
Graveside services for Robert Lee Schuchert, 70, of Gainesville will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Scott Sundbye, Pastor of Faith Lutheran Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Schuchert passed away Jan. 25, 2010 at Renaissance Care Center.
He was born Nov. 24, 1939 in Stamford to Leroy and Ruby (McFarland) Schuchert. He married Patsy Moore on May 5, 1963 in Gainesville. Robert Lee was a clerk for the Santa Fe Railroad for 42 years before retiring. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Robert Lee Schuchert is survived by his wife, Patsy Schuchert of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Stephen Geray of Gainesville and a sister, Linda Harrison of Odessa.

LAKE KIOWA — Memorial services for Helen G. Cowan, 94, of Lake Kiowa are set for 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at Lake Kiowa Lodge with Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating. Services are under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Helen G. Cowan died Jan. 14, 2010 at Denton Presbyterian Hospital.
Survivors include her daughters, Pat Bottalico of Lewisville and Natalie Harvill of Fort Worth.
Memorials may be made to The Shriners Childrens Hospital.
RUTH ANN DAVIS
Funeral services for Ruth Ann Davis 75, of Gainesville are set for Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Witt officiating with burial in the Witt-Ratliff Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis died on Jan. 22, 2010 at Denton Presbyterian Hospital.
Ruth is survived by her brother, Bob Struble of Olney, Ill; sister, Norma Jean Butts of Nebraska; sons, Bill Leonard of Gainesville and Dale Leonard of Sioux City, Iowa and daughters, Melanie Davis of Gainesville and Debra Phelps of Gainesville.
Visitation was Monday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
