JANICE (PERRY) BEELER

HENRIETTA — Janice (Perry) Beeler, 68, of Henrietta, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 in Henrietta.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at the Church of Christ in Henrietta with Mr. Britt Farmer, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in the Hope Cemetery in Henrietta, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta.

Mrs. Beeler was born on Feb. 25, 1941 in Gainesville to Clyde and Flora (Stone) Perry. She married Howard Beeler on Dec. 29, 1960 in Gainesville. She was a receptionist for the Clay County Tax Appraisal District in Henrietta. She was also a member of the Church of Christ in Henrietta, the Ceramatones and the Texas Retired Teacher’s Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Delton Beeler on June 24, 2003 and brother, Billy Joe Perry.

Survivors include her husband, Howard Beeler of Henrietta; son, Kelly Beeler and wife Glenda of Henrietta; granddaughter, Kassidy Beeler of Henrietta; grandson, Kolton Beeler of Henrietta; brother, Jimmy Perry of Gainesville and sister, Betty York of Gainesville.

Visitation will be at the Davis Funeral Home this evening, Jan. 27, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

“GAMMY”

MADELYN INGRAM GREEN

Madelyn Ingram Green passed away peacefully at her home on Jan. 25, 2010. Madelyn was born in Dallas on Jan. 26, 1919 to Roy Olif and Agnes Schluneger Ingram. On Feb. 28, 1937 she married William Ray Green in Dallas. After her marriage, Madelyn worked as a dental assistant for about twenty years. Madelyn was active in her children’s schools, led Brownie and Girl Scout troops and helped with the Boy Scouts. She also taught Sunday School and worked with the youth at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas.

In 1965 she moved to a farm in the Spring Creek community and was active in the Spring Creek United Methodist Church and Valley View High School activities where daughter, Kathy, graduated. She loved spending time with her family and friends and working with youth. Traveling within the U.S. and abroad was an adventure for her. Madelyn loved to take and collect photographs of her family, friends and the wonderful places she visited. She received great joy from sending greeting cards and encouraging words to friends and family.

Madelyn (known fondly as “Gammy”) is survived by her husband, William Ray Green; son, Lawrence Ray Green and wife Frances of Waynesville, N.C.; daughters, Sharon and son-in-law Frank Harmon of Denton and Kathy and son-in-law Ron Wilson of The Woodlands; two grandsons; five granddaughters; eight great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters and two great-great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts and uncles.

A service in her memory will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church, Denton Texas at a later date.

RONNIE GLENN SCOTT

Funeral services for Ronnie Glenn Scott, 62, of Gainesville, are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 at the Hillcrest Church of Christ with David Gray officiating.

Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

A visitation was held from 6 to 7 p.m Tuesday evening at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Ronnie died Jan. 23, 2010 in Denton.

Ronnie was born in Gainesville on May 2, 1947 to Claude Scott and Orlene (Sue) Scott-Dennington. He married Nell McElreath on June 26, 1971.

Mr. Scott attended Gainesville Schools and graduated in 1965. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1966. He served in Japan, Vietnam and Tinker Air Force Base, being discharged in 1970. He entered the aviation field, earning his commercial multi-engine instrument rating, airframe and power plant licenses.

In 1972, Ronnie entered into oil field work as a rig mechanic in Peru. He drilled and pushed tools in Alaska, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Texas. In 1992, he started Oilfield Equipment Sales in Gainesville, building double cementers, single units, double acid pumpers and all kinds of bulk equipment.

Ronnie was a member of the Downard Fairplains community and a lifetime member of the Gainesville 1922 VFW. He also was very involved in donating to the local charities and organizations.

Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Nell Scott; son, Clay Scott; daughter, Mikinzie Bauwin; brother and sister-in-law, Don and CarolAnn Scott; grandchildren, Ashton Scott, Hannah Bauwin, Mariah and Mikaylie Biggers and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and by his grandparents, R. E. and Cordie Scott and Willis and Theresa Holley.

Pallbearers will be Matt Livingston, Warren Smith, Keith Aston, Brian Blanton, Eddie Dewey and Rudy Paclik.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

BILLIE ROSE CROSS

Funeral services for Billie Rose Cross, 74, of Gainesville, are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at the Mt. Olive First Baptist Church in Gainesville with Pastor Phil Butler officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. this evening, Jan. 27, 2010 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel.

Ms. Cross passed away on Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 at her home.

Survivors include her sons, Avery "Marc" Thomas and Willard "Wee" Thomas and daughter, Vellena Cross.

GREGORY STEWART BURGIN

LAKE KIOWA — Funeral services for Gregory Stewart Burgin, 60, of Lake Kiowa, are set for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Sammy Hughes officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Visitation was Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Burgin died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010.

He is survived by his loving companion, Mary Lamon and sisters, Bebbie Schofield and Dana Vinsant.

Memorials may be sent to the Lake Kiowa Fire Department.

HELEN G. COWAN

LAKE KIOWA — Memorial services for Helen G. Cowan, 94, of Lake Kiowa are set for 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at Lake Kiowa Lodge with Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating. Services are under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Helen G. Cowan died Jan. 14, 2010 at Denton Presbyterian Hospital.

Survivors include her daughters, Pat Bottalico of Lewisville and Natalie Harvill of Fort Worth.

Memorials may be made to The Shriners Childrens Hospital.
