DENNIS WOLFE

Funeral services for Dennis Wolfe, 90, formerly of Gainesville, are set for Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Shady Grove United Congregational Methodist Church with the Rev. Lonnie Dotson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Wolfe passed away on January 31, 2014 in Roanoke, Texas.

Dennis was born on September 22, 1923 in Blue Mound, Kansas to George William and Bertha Branstetter Wolfe.

He was from a pioneer family settling around the Blue Mound, Kansas area. Dennis was a WWII veteran serving in the United States Navy and he was a proud graduate of Kansas University. He was employed by Armco Steel as a sales representative and enjoyed playing golf for over 30 years, especially his time playing at Lake Kiowa. His greatest passion, however, was teaching the bible for over 40 years.

Dennis is survived by his son, Richard A. Wolfe of Austin, Texas; daughters, Kathy Eiler of Roanoke and Rebecca C. Dill of Denton, Texas; grandchildren, Kassie, Chase and Haley Dill and Chris and Kelly Eiler; and great-grandchildren, Scarlett Elizabeth Dill and Kylee Sydney-Ray Mason.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Wolfe; son, Dr. Robert F. Wolfe; two brothers; and two sisters.

Family will serve as pallbearers.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Chosen People Minstries.

PHYLLIS BLACKMON

LAKE KIOWA – Graveside services for Phyllis Marie Blackmon, 65, of Lake Kiowa are set for 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014  at the Sunset Cemetery in Sunset with the Rev. Tom Westbrook officiating under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Blackmon died Jan. 29, 2014 in Lake Kiowa.  

She was born July 21, 1948 in Pampa.

Survivors include her husband, Alan Blackmon of Lake Kiowa; children, Alex, Troy, Jason and Jeffrey Blackmon; her sister, Toni Cummins; and 10 grandchildren;

CELMA LEE WALKER HARVILLE

Graveside services for Celma Lee Walker Harville, 97, of Gainesville are set for 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.

 Mrs. Harville died Jan. 30, 2014 in Gainesville.

She was born March 16, 1916 in Cooke County.
