EDGAR PAUL VanDEAVER
Edgar Paul VanDeaver, 88, joined his wife, Mattie Lee Crews VanDeaver, in heaven on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013.
She had been saving a place for him since July 13, 2009.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home in Paris, Texas, with the Rev. Bill Felts officiating.
Burial, with Military and Masonic rites, will follow in Meadowbrook Gardens in Paris, Texas.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Edgar was born to Edgar Sherman & Mary Lena Gasway VanDeaver on July 6, 1925, in Detroit, Texas.
He married Mattie on June 26, 1943.
He served in the U. S. Army during World War II in both the European and Pacific Theaters. For many years, he worked for Westinghouse Lamp Division in Paris.
He really enjoyed cars, working on them and trading them. He was a member of the Baptist faith and was a Mason and Shriner.
He is survived by his daughter, Sara Lee Rogers and husband Richard; grandchildren, Greg Parnell, Michael Sanchez and wife Jennifer, Richard (Kris) Sanchez and wife Kimberly and Lisa Parnell Pitts; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Parnell, Jessika Parnell, Nate Sanchez, Dana Parnell, Kiana Murphy, Alex Hickman and Victoria Sanchez; a sister, Inez Shawhart and husband Andrew; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Casket bearers will be Richard K. Sanchez, Kevin Knighten, Alex Hickman, Lance Matthews, Dale Kinzer and Greg Parnell.

SAVOY — Funeral services for Doris Nell Harvey, 68, are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with the Rev. Derrell Brubaker officiating.
Burial will follow in Dixie Cemetery.
Mrs. Harvey died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, in Savoy.
She was born on Jan. 7, 1945, in Cullman, Ala.
Survivors include siblings, Jerry Houston Turner of Keller, Shirley Ann Maeberry of Wichita Falls, Carlie Turner, of Eva, Ala., and Carolyn Kay Pinkston of Sherman.

MUENSTER — Funeral services for Anthony Joseph “Tony” Klement, 92, of Muenster, are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Ken Robinson officiating.
Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Muenster under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Klement died Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, in Muenster.
He was born June 13, 1921, in Muenster.
Survivors include his wife, Isabel “Sis” Klement of Muenster; children, Patsy Dangelmayr, Joyce Bayer, Janet Fisher, Alice Walterscheid, Diane Muller, Darlene Abney, Marlene Walterscheid, Peachie Huchton, Pat Klement, Robert Klement, Roy Klement, Steve Klement, Kevin Klement and Gary Don Klement; sister, Anna Marie Bayer; 43 grandchildren; and 80 great-grandchildren.
A rosary and vigil is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

THACKERVILLE, OKLA. — Graveside services for Viola Sconce, 92, of Thackerville, Okla., are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Thackerville, Okla., under the direction of Flanagan Watts-Funeral Home in Marietta, Okla.
