Gainesville — The Gainesville Daily Register publishes obituary information as a public service from forms provided to area funeral homes. Deadlines are 4 p.m. the day prior to running and pendings by 8:45 a.m. the morning of the obit. Photos cost $15. The funeral home register may be added at no additional cost. Additional information not included on the form may be added — however, a fee will then be charged for the entire obituary. Obituary information is accepted only from funeral homes. JOSEPH EDWARD COLEMAN

Funeral services for Joseph Edward Coleman, 20, will be held at 10:30 a.m. July 22, 2010 at the Gainesville Bible Church at 601 Radio Hill Road in Gainesville, with Pastor Joe Knox officiating.

Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. before the service. Services are under the direction of Myers-Chancellor Funeral Home.

Joseph Edward Coleman was born July 25, 1989 and was called home to be with the Lord July 16, 2010. He died in a one-car accident near Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Joe was the beloved son of Dana and Danny Knight and Edward Coleman. He is survived by his sister, Katie Grewing; brother-in-law, Kenneth Grewing and niece Emma Grewing of Muenster; grandparents, Bud and Bernice Wilder of Rockwall and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom he loved dearly.

J.C. “BUDDY” MOTSENBOCKER

MARIETTA, Okla. — Services for J.C. “Buddy” Motsenbocker, 87, of Marietta, Okla. are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Travis Huffman officiating.

Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Marietta, Okla.

Mr. Motsenbocker died on Saturday, July 17, 2010, in Lake Country Nursing Center in Marietta, Okla.

He was born Aug. 9, 1922, in Enville, Okla.,

Survivors include his wife, Vivian E. Motsenbocker of the home; sons, Jack Motsenbocker, Tony Motsenbocker and Steve Motsenbocker, all of Gainesville; daughter, Lea Ann Savage of Marietta; brother, Bill Dvorak of Marietta; sisters, Martha Nell Weems of Lubbock and Louise Berndt of Quinter, Kan.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening at Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.

OTIS ROY HOWSER

Funeral services for Otis Roy Howser, 92, of Gainesville are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Callisburg Cemetery. No visitation is planned. Services are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Otis was born on Sept. 8, 1917 to William Leon and Clara Karsteter Howser in rural Cooke County in the community of Fairview, named after the Fairview School District and Westview, named after the Westview Methodist Church. Mr. Howser passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010. He was educated at the Fairview School and graduated from Whitesboro High School. He married Velma Fae Thomas on Dec. 4, 1940 in Gainesville. Otis was drafted into the military in 1942 and served in the U.S. Army in North Africa, Naples, Foggia, Rome, Arno, the Northern Appenines and Po Valley. He was discharged in 1945 and returned to Cooke County. He was a member of Westview Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School until the district consolidated and he joined the First United Methodist Church of Whitesboro. Otis furthered his education by studying agriculture with the intention of becoming a farmer. Later, he and Velma worked at the Linda Jo Shoe Factory in Gainesville. Eventually, he obtained a job at Burlington Industries in Sherman until his retirement. After retirement, he took up his favorite hobbies of gardening and fishing. However, in 2000, he and Velma decided to move back to Gainesville due to health concerns.

Mr. Howser is survived by his twin sons, Larry Howser and his wife Barbara of Arlington and Ronnie Howser and wife Mary of Gainesville and four grandchildren, Michael Howser and wife Melinda of Arlington, Marcus Howser and wife Holly of Spokane Valley, Wash., Melanie Gray and husband William of Denton and Heather Howser of Denton. He is also survived by his great grandson, Noah Howser of Spokane Valley, Wash.

Otis was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Velma; brothers, C. L. Howser and Lloyd Howser; sister, Connie Moore and an unnamed infant.

LILLIAN PEARL WHITT TUGGLE

SAINT JO — Funeral services for Lillian Pearl Whitt Tuggle, 85, of Saint Jo are set for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Saint Jo with Rev. Jeff Roe and Rev. Ricky Kerr officiating.

Burial will follow in Mountain Park Cemetery in Saint Jo. Services are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo.

Mrs. Tuggle died on July 19, 2010 at Bellmire Nursing Facility in Bowie.

She was born on April 9, 1925 in Marysville.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Reeves of Saint Jo; son, Ricky Joe Tuggle of Saint Jo; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 23 at the McCoy Funeral Home in Saint Jo.

BERTHA JANE HOEHN

Funeral services for Bertha Jane Hoehn, 87, are set for 10 a.m. on Monday, July 26, 2010 at Sacred Heart Church in Muenster with Fr. Ken Robinson officiating.

Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Muenster.

Ms. Hoehn died on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Trinity Regional Rehab in Trinity, Fla.

She is survived by her siblings, William Hoehn, Joe Jack Hoehn and Aileen Cler.

Visitation is set from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, at McCoy Funeral Home in Muenster. Vigil is set for 6 p.m.

SUE EMMA AKERS LONG

DRUMRIGHT, Okla. — Graveside services for Sue Emma Akers Long, 82, of Drumright, Okla. are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Mt. Park Cemetery in Saint Jo with C.E. Cole officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo.

Mrs. Long died July 17, 2010 at Drumright Regional Hospital in Drumright, Okla.

She is survived by her son, Richard Long of Watauga.

Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo.

ANN YORK MORRIS

Ann York Morris, 70, died on July 17, 2010 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.

Ann was born on Oct. 23, 1939.

She is survived by her son, Richard Morris; three grandchildren; step-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Lowry of Whitesboro and brother, Troy York of Pampa.

HELEN BANNISTER RAINS

HAGERMAN, N.M. — Graveside services for Helen Bannister Rains, 87, of Hagerman, N.M., will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 in the New Hope Cemetery in Valley View with Rev. Larry Huffman officiating. Services are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rains died July 17, 2010 at her residence in Hagerman, N.M.

She was born on Dec. 23, 1922 in Sayre, Okla.

Mrs. Rains is survived by her son, Donald A. Bannister of Hagerman, N.M., five grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
