RUBY LEA ALEXANDER ALLBRIGHT

SOUTHLAKE — Ruby Lea Alexander Allbright, 76, of Southlake, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, in a Fort Worth hospital.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Deane Allbright of Ballinger; and parents, Gordon and Esther Alexander of Valley View.

Visitation for family and friends was held Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at the First Christian Church in Ballinger, with Lynn Smith officiating.  

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger.

Ruby was born on Aug. 21, 1936, in Gainesville to Gordon Lee and Esther Ruby (Sherrill) Alexander.  

After graduating from high school in Era, Ruby attended North Texas State University (University of North Texas), receiving her undergraduate degree in 1959.  She earned her Master's degree from Texas Woman’s University in 1965.  She began her teaching career in 1959, in Leonard.  She moved to Hurst and taught home economics in the secondary school division within the Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD for 22 years. After retiring in 1984, Ruby and David relocated to her husband’s home town of Ballinger.

Ruby married David Deane Allbright on July 8, 1961, in Gainesville.  She joined the First Christian Church Ballinger in 1984, where she served as an elder and board member.  Ruby was a member and past Worthy Matron of Ballinger Chapter 366, Order of the Eastern Star.

Following David’s death in 2009, Ruby moved back to the North Texas area to be closer to her children. She lived at The Carlyle in Southlake.

She is survived by her son Anthony Lee, his wife Elizabeth and grandson Benjamin of Albuquerque, N.M.; son, Charles Deane, his wife Kathleen and grandchildren Claire and Joseph of Keller; daughter, Andrea Beth of Hurst; brother, Jim R. Alexander and wife Mona of Denton; and nephew, Jason Alexander of Austin.

LOU DILLARD

Winnie Louise “Lou” Dillard, 82, of Gainesville passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, in Muenster.  

There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m.  Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Ben Willingham officiating.  

Services are under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dillard was born Sept. 10, 1930, in Sivells Bend to Rufus and Winnie Lynch.  

She married William Eugene “Bill” Dillard on July 30, 1950, in Gainesville.  Mrs. Dillard taught the third and fifth grades and retired from GISD. She enjoyed sewing and gardening, but above all, cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include son, Mark Dillard and wife Aleta of Marietta, Okla.; daughter, Cindy Fry and husband Greg of Gainesville; granddaughter, Shelley Andrews and husband, John of Milburn, Okla.; grandson, Tyler Schneider and wife Jessica of San Marcos; granddaughter, Katie Britain and husband Shane of Gainesville; and great-grandchildren, Cameron, Chelby and Creek. Survivors also include many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs. Dillard was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Eldon Lynch.

BEVERLY ANN ALFORD

Memorial services for Beverly Ann Alford, 68, of Gainesville, are set for 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at First Baptist Church Oakridge with Travis Alford officiating.  

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  

Mrs. Alvord died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton.

She was born June 8, 1944, in Holten, Kan.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas “Travis” Alford of Gainesville; daughter, Sarah Jo Whitehead of Gainesville; siblings, Carol Shipman and John Bostwick of Topeka, Kan.; and two grandchildren.

Cremation is under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

LORA RUTH HILL

CALLISBURG — Funeral services for Lora Ruth Hill, 63, of Callisburg, are set for 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Grand Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Black officiating.  

Burial will follow in Sharrock Cemetery under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hill died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Integrity Transitional Hospital in Denton.

She was born April 20, 1949, in Gainesville.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Hill of Callisburg; children, Stacy Leach of Gainesville, Leslie Leach of El Paso, Randall Leach of Sadler, Charlotte Person of Gainesville and Robin Dickerson of Denton; siblings, Vernon Morrison of Gordonville, Richard Morrison of Gainesville, Virginia McNarin of Whitesboro, Alice LeFlemme of Callisburg and Linda Morgan of Gainesville; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

DALE SHELDON MOCK

LAKE KIOWA — Memorial services for Dale Sheldon Mock, 72, of Lake Kiowa, are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Chapel with J. Ray Smith officiating.

Mr. Mock died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, in Denison.

He was born Jan. 11, 1940, in Johnstown, Pa.

Survivors include wife, Barbara Mock of Lake Kiowa; children, Gregory Mock of Winter Park, Colo., Brian Mock of Southlake, Brett Mock of Mebane, N.C., Kerry Mock of Cumming, Ga.; and 10 grandchildren.

JUANITA HELEN NEELY

COLLINSVILLE — Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita Helen Neely, 92, of Collinsville, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with the Rev. Rick Carney officiating.  

Burial will follow in Sadler Cemetery under the direction of Meador Funeral Home.

Mrs. Neely died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at The Homestead in Sherman.

She was born on March 27, 1920, in Ethel.

Survivors include children, Kenneth Eugene Neely of Howe, Bobby Edward Neely of Van Alstyne and Jimmy Don Neely of Whitesboro; and several grandchildren.

Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at the funeral home.

AUDRIA EVELYN MARTIN WILHITE

Funeral services for Audria Evelyn Martin Wilhite, 81, are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Jerryd Wallace officiating.  

Mrs. Wilhite died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012.

She was born Sept. 4, 1931, in southern Cooke County.

Survivors include children, Gary Wilhite and Gayla Blanton of Gainesville and Steve Wilhite of Lone Oak; siblings, Royce D. Martin of Valley View, Kenneth Martin of Montague and Reva Martin Beaver; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
