DANIEL LANE
Memorial services for Daniel Lane, 34, of Gainesville are set for 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at the Leonard Park Pavillion.
Daniel passed away on Nov. 25, 2012, in Gainesville.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.
Daniel was born on July 25, 1978, in Little Rock, Ark., to Danny and Lorrol Campbell Lane.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Jana Leeann Lane; son, Caleb Lane; brothers, Kyle Huggins and family and Anthony Huggins and wife Debbie and family, sisters, Kathy Sigler and her husband Ed and family and Laura Eubanks and her husband Jerry and family, brothers, Ray Taylor and his wife Laura and family and Donald Taylor and his wife Emma Lee Talyor and family.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Yancy, Troy and Kelly.

DOROTHY PENTON
Funeral services for Helen Dorothy Penton, 98, of Gainesville, formerly of Rosston, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Chapel.
Burial will follow at Perryman Cemetery in Forestburg.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, prior to the funeral.
Mrs. Penton passed away Dec. 4, 2012, in Gainesville.
She was born Nov. 10, 1914, in Forestburg.
Mrs. Penton married Weldon “Witt” Bailey Penton on April 8, 1939. She was a graduate of Forestburg High School. Mrs. Penton retired from JC Penney’s in Gainesville following more than 40 years of service. She loved raising horses and livestock on her ranch in Rosston. An avid photographer, Mrs. Penton especially enjoyed photographing scenery, landscapes and their livestock.
Survivors include sister, Nancy Jo Minton of Denton; sister, Jimmie Ruth Setzer of Mesquite; nephew, Thomas Setzer of Mesquite; niece, Cheryl Setzer of Mesquite; devoted great-niece, Linda Roller; and devoted friend, Sue Hughs.
Mrs. Penton was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon ‘Witt’ Bailey Penton; stepfather, E. E. Kuykendall; and mother, Anna Schultz Kuykendall.
Pallbearers will be Victor Wilson Penton, Jr., James L. Penton, Jr., Andrew Mitcheltree, Tom Richardson, Weldon Settle, Bryan Hughs and Grady Roller.

HELEN B. SISSON
Memorial services for Helen B. Sisson, 92, of Annapolis, Md., will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at St. Andrews Chapel at the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis.
Helen B. Sisson was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps and served in the Pacific during World War II.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther B. Sisson, USN, Capt. (ret.) on Nov. 11, 1983.
Survivors include two daughters and one son; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother; a sister; and brother-in-law, Albert B. "Buddy" Sisson of Gainesville.

DARREL DEAN BERNDT
Graveside services for Darrel Dean Berndt, 80, are set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Berndt died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Dalworthington Gardens.
He was born Feb. 2, 1932, in Morgan County, Ill.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Marie; children, Madison, Vincent and Cristen; and three grandchildren.

WHITESBORO — Memorial services for Gary Howser, 69, of Whitesboro, are set for 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at 301 Parker Lane in Whitesboro.
Mr. Howser died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, in Whitesboro.
He was born Dec. 24, 1942, in Dexter.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Howser of Whitesboro; children, Julie Land and Shalana Howard; parents, Lloyd and Doris Howser; brother, Jim Howser; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
