MAURINE BLAKEY WILLIAMS

Our mother, Maurine Blakey Williams, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012.

“Rene” was born to Charlie Ray Blakey and Eva Cobb Aug. 3, 1923, near Whitewright.

She was a deeply religious and a sweetly kind-hearted person. She was retired from Gainesville State School and enjoyed quilting and reading and visiting with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, V. Cecil Williams; sisters, Geraldine Cole, Imogene Hunter, Georgia Rae Blakey and Joyce Bishop; brothers, Billy Pat and James; grandsons, David Liedtke and Tyler Cleveland; granddaughters, Barbi King and Briannon Cleveland; and son-in-law, Jim Liedtke.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Barbara Liedtke, Lynn and Donna Wages, Julia and Hollie Gilbert, David and Sonja Williams, Lisa and Steve King, Mary Brannon and Kenneth Williams; brothers and wives, Ross and Ruth Blakey and Kenneth and Cathy Blakey; and sister and husband Jeanenne (Sug) and Jack Dyer. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren, who adoringly referred to her as “Grandma Great.”

Memorial services are pending.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.

O.E. BENTLEY

ERA — Funeral services for O. E. Bentley, 90, of Era, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Black officiating.

Burial will follow in the Era Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Bentley died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 19, 1922, in Era.

Survivors include children, Rex Bentley and Keith Bentley of Era; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at the funeral home.

PHYLLIS PROUD DeLANCEY

Funeral services for Phyllis Proud DeLancey, 69, of Gainesville, are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Yeager officiating.  

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. DeLancey died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, in Gainesville.  

She was born July 20, 1943, in Wilmington, Del.

Survivors include husband, James DeLancey of Gainesville; children, Mark DeLancey of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Aimee Lane of Gainesville; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at the funeral home.

WILLIAM LESLIE NEAL

Graveside services for William Leslie Neal, 54, were held Thursday, Dec. 6, at Oak Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Collier officiating.

Mr. Neal died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, in Abilene.

He was born March 31, 1958, in Gainesville.

Survivors include children, Chad Neal of Antlers, Okla., Shawn Neal of Sherman and Leslie Neal Johnson of Dallas; siblings, Kenneth Neal of Texas, Judy Reed of Big Spring and Cindy Mills of Tennessee; mother: Jackie Brock of Tennessee; and two grandchildren.

PEARL WAGNER

Funeral services for Pearl Wagner, 87, of Gainesville, are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Grace Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. David Morris and the Rev. Larry Huffman officiating.  

Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.  

Mrs. Wagner died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Gainesville Health and Rehab Center.  

She was born Oct. 23, 1925, in Dierks, Ark.  

Survivors include her son, Jim Wagner of Sanger; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
