WHITESBORO — Memorial services for Ronnie Paul Boaz, 68, of Whitesboro, will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Woodbine Baptist Church, 245 CR 211 in Gainesville, with Pastor Chet Burgess officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
Visitation services will be Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ronnie passed away on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, in Gainesville.
He was born on May 5, 1944, in Whitesboro, to David and Addie (Tetter) Boaz.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Chavez of Whitesboro, Karol Boaz-Ellison of Whitesboro and Kimberly Burgess of Whitesboro; grandchildren, Ceria Boaz, Curtis Boaz, Annjelica Young, Cory LaRue, Brandon LaRue, Zackery LaRue, Micheal Burgess and Christopher Burgess; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Addie Boaz; his brother, Danny Boaz; son, David Boaz; and two grandchildren, Charlotte Garretson and Robert Michael Garretson.

“MARIJO” ELSKEN
CALIFORNIA CITY, CALIF. — Surrounded by her children and grandchildren, she died at her home Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, in California City, Calif.
Marijo was born May 14, 1941, in Seattle, Wash.
She was a member of the Class of 1959 in Gainesville High School and attended college in California.
Marijo is survived by daughters, Marilyn Barr of California City, Calif., and Donna Parkhill of Utah; sons, Ace Edward Parkhill and Kenneth Parkhill of California City, Calif.; her mother, Joyce Borden; sister, Arlene Ashford of Gainesville; sister, Jackie Graham of Woodbine; brother, Michael Borden of Gainesville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Marijo was preceded in death by her husband, Vern Elsken; father, Jack Borden; and sister, Linda Ford.
The memorial service was Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013.

Helen M. Koehler, 88, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, in Gainesville.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa with Keith Ferrer, minister of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ of Pampa, officiating.

Mrs. Koehler was born Aug. 10, 1924, in Gainesville to Charlie Allen Carter and Opha Bruce Carter, and she attended schools in Gainesville.
She was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ in Pampa.
Survivors include three sons, Kinzy Ray Wright of Gainesville, David Koehler and wife Jan of McKinney and Raymond Eric Koehler and wife Peggy of Pampa; and one daughter Margaret Tilley of Dripping Springs; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Katherine Norris of Gainesville; and her sister-in-law: Anita Carter of Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Koehler; her parents; her brothers, Charles, Lawson and David Carter; and one great-grandchild, Cliff Allen.

FLIPPIN, ARK. — Johnny E. Lane, Sr., 76, of Flippin, Ark., passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Mountain Home, Ark.
Johnny E. Lane Sr. was born July 12, 1936, in Denison to John Debbs and Jourline Lane.
He was a mechanic by trade. He was well known for his beautiful yard and his seasonal displays.
Johnny E. Lane, Sr. is survived by six children, Johnny Jr., Mark and Lee, all of Flippin, Ark., Tami Lane of Gassville, Ark., Pam Roever of Norfork, Ark., and Dawn White Buffalo of Ozark, Ark.; two sisters, Shirley Leverett of Ft. Worth and Joy Sawyer of Asheboro, N.C.; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother; one sister; and son, David.

THACKERVILLE, OKLA. — Graveside services for Thackerville resident Imogene Barker Schmitz will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at New Rest Haven Cemetery. Rev. Johnny Sconce, pastor of Shady Dale First Baptist Church, will be officiating.

Mrs. Schmitz passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Marietta, Okla., at the age of 85.
She was born Aug. 21, 1927, to Shelley and Jewell (Lloyd) West in Callisburg.
Imogene worked for Weber Aircraft, retiring after 30 years of employment. She also had worked as a house mother for the Denton State School and as a caregiver. She loved to work in her garden.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Shelly and Terrie Barker of Thackerville, Okla., and Richard and Connie Barker of Marietta, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Doy Barker and Gene Schmitz; parents, Shelley and Jewell West; daughter, Cathy Barker; and sisters, Wanda Cundiff and Annabell Matthews.

MARY ELIZABETH KRAHL SICKING
MYRA — A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Elizabeth Krahl Sicking, 83, of Myra, is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Saint Mary’s Church in Gainesville. Frs. Victor Cruz and Ken Robinson will celebrate the Mass.
Burial will be in the New Resthaven Cemetery.
A prayer vigil and rosary is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, by Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Mrs. Sicking passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, in Denton.
Pallbearers are Ryan Sicking, Cody Sicking, Brent Sicking, Adam Winter, Travis Sicking and Jodie Lutkenhaus.
Mary Sicking was born in Scotland, Texas, on April 8, 1929, to Elizabeth and Joseph Krahl.
Mary’s siblings are Bernard Krahl, Edward Krahl, Martin Krahl, Victoria (Vicki) Self, Wilfred Krahl, Lydia Garaway, George Krahl, Mildred (Millie) Kessler, James (Jimmy) Krahl, Patsy Lutkenhaus and Steve Krahl.
Mary moved to Gainesville at age 19 from Scotland with her family to the Krahl Farm, south of Gainesville, where she lived until she married Emmet Joseph Sicking, a prominent dairy farmer. They raised 11 children on Emmet’s farm two miles south of Myra. Mary and Emmet were members of Sacred Heart Parish in Muenster for 42 years. They moved to Gainesville in 1986, where Emmet died three years later. Mary worked for 13 years at the Tom Thumb deli until her retirement.
Mary is known as an experienced gardener, especially with tomatoes, apples and flowers, and as a master quilter and embroiderer. Her quilts have been donated to Sacred Heart Parish in Muenster, St. Peter’s Parish in Lindsay and St. Mary’s Parish Gainesville. Her 11 children, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren all have quilts made by Mary, which they greatly cherish.
Survivors include her children, Joan Lutkenhaus of Bedford, Clifford Sicking of Muenster, Joyce Dostart of La Jolla, Calif., Virginia Arendt of Dallas, Debbie Felderhoff of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Lois Dieter of Upland, Calif., Julie Huchton of The Woodlands, Laura Hamilton of Vancouver, Wash., Bryan Sicking of Myra and Bill Sicking of Myra.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Emmet; son, Mark; parents, Elizabeth and Joseph Krahl; grandson, Clint Sicking; and brothers, Bernard Krahl, Edward Krahl, Martin Krahl, Wilfred Krahl and George Krahl.

SAINT JO — Funeral services for Norbert L. Flusche, Jr., 70, of Saint Jo, are set for 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster with the Rev. Ken Robinson officiating.
Burial will follow in McGrady Cemetery near Saint Jo under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Flusche died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Denton Regional Hospital.
He was born Aug. 13, 1942, in Gainesville.
Survivors include wife, Lina Jo Flusche of Saint Jo; children, Norbra Young, Vicky Graham and Randall Flusche; siblings, Mary Wisdom and Lou Ann Poynor; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Schilling died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Muenster Health & Rehab in Muenster.
She was born Sept. 27, 1917, in Muenster.
Survivors include children, Carrie Ann Walterscheid, Dianne Bedolla, Yvonne Ambrose, Monica Haverkamp and James Gehrig; siblings, Jeanette Hellinger and Don Muller; 21 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

JACKIE RALPH BENNETT
Funeral services for Jackie Ralph Bennett, 64, of Gainesville, are set for Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Bennett officiating with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jackie went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013.
Jackie was born on Feb. 16, 1948, in Gainesville to Jack and Sylvia Holland Bennett.
He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow. Jackie was an accomplished musician who most in the music community knew as “Texas Jack.” He played in various venues across North America, playing with Willie Nelson and George Strait, among many others. Jackie was of the Baptist faith and loved to travel.
Jackie is survived by his mother, Sylvia Bennett of Gainesville; son, Jack Bennett of Gainesville; two grandchildren, Nicole Bennett of Colorado, and Austin Bennett of Wyoming; brothers, Robert Bennett and his wife Kathy of McKinney, Donald Bennett and his wife Cathy of Denton and Mike Bennett of Oklahoma City; and sister, Jan Robeson and her husband Bob of Gainesville. He is also survived by an uncle, Clyde Bennett and his wife Ruth of Gainesville; and several nieces and nephews, including Sylvia Robeson of Gainesville.
He was predeceased by his father, Jack Bennett; sister-in-law, Beth Bennett; nephew, Cory Bennett; and great-niece, Kayla Williams.
