JOE MARSHALL
Funeral services for Joe Marshall, 74, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Lorne officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery with military honors under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012.
Mr. Marshall passed away Sept. 16, 2012, in Gainesville.
Joe Marshall was born Jan. 27, 1938, in Gainesville to Jessie and Corella Marshall.
Survivors include his brothers, Guy Miller of Gainesville, Jessie Curtis Hunt, Robert Wayne Hunt and wife Latanya and Bobby Homles, all of Clarksville, Tenn.; sisters, Brenda Louis Ligon and husband Carl, Karen Denise Hoosier and husband George, Beverly Lynn Minor and husband Wayne, and Alma Faye Cartwright and husband Carlos — all of Clarksville, Tenn.; daughters, Gayleth Marshall-Laurence of Gainesville, Margret Kenney of Gainesville, LeAnn Marshall of Ft. Worth, Donna Brown of Ft. Worth and Celestine Shavon Marshall of Denison; sons, Gary Marshall of Gainesville, Donald Marshall of Austin and Deone Smith of Denison. Survivors also include a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Rita Catherine Hunt; daughter, Donna Ewing Scott; sisters, Jessie Johnson, Linda Scott, Flora Franklin and Mary Hilly; and brother, Tony Hall.

NINA McCOY WILSON
WIMBERLEY — Funeral services for Nina McCoy Wilson, are set for 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at First Christian Church in Gainesville with Reverend Mark Loewen officiating.
Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Born Nina Darlene McCoy on Oct. 8, 1929, in Kansas, she passed away on Sept. 14, 2012, at her home in Wimberley.
After spending her childhood in Oklahoma, she moved to Gainesville as a teenager and graduated from Gainesville High School. Nina attended Oklahoma State University and Texas Woman's University as a home economics major. She married David Wilson and resided in Gainesville throughout most of her life. Working as a bookkeeper and office assistant at a number of establishments in the Gainesville area, she ended her career in 2006, at the Hatcher and Harris Law Firm. Her family and many friends will remember her as a great cook and a witty, fun-loving hostess.
Nina was preceded in death by her father, Carl McCoy; mother, Bessie Wakeman McCoy; stepmother, Edna McCoy; brothers, Jack, Bob and Bo McCoy; sister, Roberta Courtright; and ex-husband, David Wilson.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Leigh and Richard Stansberry, Laurie and Terry Sawyer and Leslie and Gary Weeks. To her seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, she was “Nene.” Her brother Harry and sister-in-law Billie McCoy reside in Gainesville.

MILDRED BENTLEY
ERA — Funeral services for Mildred Bentley 86, of Era, are set for Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Black officating with burial to follow in the Era Cemetery.
Mildred was born on Oct. 6, 1925, in Hood to Charles and Eula Hughes Myers.
She lived and worked in Gainesville until her fiance, Orville Bentley, returned from serving in France during World War II. They were married on Oct. 26,1946. Mildred spent her life as a homemaker and was a loving caretaker to her children and grandchildren. She was also deeply loved by her nieces and nephews and by her life long friend Carol Felker of Gainesville. She was a member of the Era Methodist Church.
Mildred is survived by husband, O. E. Bentley of Era; a sister, Barbara Roberson of Gainesville; children, Rex Bentley and his wife Marla and their children Jeremiaha and Brandy Bentley and their children Jackson and Luke Bentley of Austin, Brandy Parker and her husband Lance and their children Madyson and Briggs of Weatherford, Hope Tuell and her husband Todd and their children Grayson and Taylor Tuell of Aledo, Monica Bentley and Larry Wofford of Gainesville and their son Eddy Wofford, and son Keith Bentley and his wife Debra and their children Jessica Moore of Indianapolis, Ind., and Steffan Bentley of Austin.
Pallbearers will be Luke Myers, Mike Graves, Greg Selby, Michael Selby, Eugene Bentley and Edwin Knight.

HAZEL ELLEN REED
SAINT JO — Funeral services for Hazel Ellen Reed, 89, of Saint Jo, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at Saint Jo Church of Christ in Saint Jo with Jeff Sweeten and C.E. Cole officiating.
Burial will follow in Reed Cemetery in Montague County under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Saint Jo.
Mrs. Reed died Sept. 16, 2012, at Muenster Health and Rehab.
She was born Dec. 2, 1922, in Capps Corner in Montague County.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Reeves; brother, Loyd Ray Henley; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is set for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at the funeral home.
