RONNIE DOYLE BRUCE
Funeral services for Ronnie Doyle Bruce, 65, of Gainesville, are set for Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at 10 a.m. in the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Nelson Grove Cemetery.
Ronnie passed away on Oct. 2, 2012, in Gainesville.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at the funeral home.
Ronnie was born on Dec. 29, 1946, in Gainesville to Bud and Lillie Bruce.
Ronnie married Tammy Young on Oct. 5, 1991, in Gainesville. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his dogs. Ronnie enjoyed riding motorcycles in his youth and he had a great time watching and observing eagles, and most of all, he loved his family.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Tammy Bruce of Gainesville; sisters, Gayle Pruitt of Whitesboro, Jo McKinnon of Gainesville, Linda Bentley of Mt. Pleasant, Kay Bruce of Gainesville and Ann May of Woodbine; and his mother and father-in-law, Howard and Camilla Young.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Billie Sue Skinner; and brothers, Charles Wayne King, Jamie Bruce and Howard Bruce.

EDNA RUTH BARKER
FORT WORTH — Funeral services for Edna Ruth Barker, 85, of Fort Worth, will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Eaves officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be Oct. 8, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Barker passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, in Fort Worth.
Edna was born Nov. 14, 1926, to John and Myrtle Samek in Gainesville.
She married Richard D. Barker on June 20, 1948, and they had two sons together. She was a nurse at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth for 37 & 1/2 years, retiring in 1998.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard; son Randall Ray Barker; and stillborn granddaughter Jessica Barker.
She is survived by her son, Richard D. Barker, Jr. and wife Colleen; granddaughter, Melyssa Puente and husband John; grandson, Tristan Barker; and three great-grandchildren, Ilandrin, Matthew and Lilyanna Puente. She is also survived by sister Theresa Stevens; three brothers, John Samek and wife Barbara, Charles Samek and wife Donna and Joe Samek and wife Wanda; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

WILLIAM BLAKE HAYNIE
Memorial services for William Blake Haynie, 24, of Gainesville, are set for Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at 3 p.m. at the Mountain Springs Community Center with the Rev. Milton Pledger officiating.
Blake will be buried at the New Hope Cemetery in Mountain Springs beside his mother, Laura.
Blake passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, in Gainesville.
Blake was born Aug. 10, 1988, in Lewisville to Ronnie and Laura Haynie.
He is survived by his father; grandparents, Norvil and Delores Laird of Denton and Lester and Janell Haynie of Valley View; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura.

MARY ALYCE KEMP
Memorial services for Mary Alyce Kemp, 67, are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Shady Shores Baptist Church in Shady Shores with the Rev. Bob Joyce officiating.
Mrs. Kemp died Sept. 27, 2012, in Gainesville.
She was born July 2, 1945, in Denton County.
Survivors include children, John David Kemp, Christopher Kemp and Robert Neil Kemp; one sister; Alyne Pruitt; and 10 grandchildren.
