Funeral services for Neal Joslin, 42, of Gainesville, are set for 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, in the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Funeral Chapel with Dr. James Egan and Glen Kersey officating with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Joslin died Tuesday, July 31, 2012.
He was born on Dec. 29, 1969, in Sherman.
Survivors include his wife, Christy Joslin; children, Hannah and Lauren Joslin; parents, Jerry and Mickye Joslin; and sister, Julie Parker of McKinney;

FRED T. ANDERSON
LAKE KIOWA — Fred T. Anderson, 80, of Lake Kiowa, passed onto his new life Aug. 3, 2012, after a courageous six-year battle with cancer in the comfort of his home, and surrounded by his loving family.
Fred was born in Great Falls, N.D., on July 19, 1932. As a young child, his family moved to Denver, Colo., where Fred attended Colorado College in Colorado Springs. Fred served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict earning three medals. Following Korea, Fred then moved to Santé Fe, N.M., where he met Nancy Jo Kyle. They married in 1956. Fred and Nancy then moved to San Jose, Calif., with their sons Mark and Steve. Their youngest son Kyle was born in San Jose. The family then moved to Dallas for a short time before moving to Lewisville. All the while Fred worked as a regional sales manager for Houghton-Mifflin, later retiring in Lake Kiowa.
He is survived by his loving partner, best friend and devoted wife of 56 years, Nancy; son, Mark James Anderson, Sr. and wife Maddalena; their children, Jamie Lynn, Grace Angelina, Mark James, Jr., John Luke, and Frederick Thomas (“Tommy”); son, Stephan Gordon Anderson and wife Robin and their daughter Briana; son, Robert “Kyle” Anderson and fiancé Melinda Nemeth; and many close friends and extended family.
Fred was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Theodore Anderson, Sr.; and mother Flora Odell Root.
Fred was a very active 21-year resident at Lake Kiowa. Fred loved the game of golf. He assisted with the Men’s Golf Association and Water Board. Fred led a very full life, always giving much more than he received.
He was a mentor, coach, friend, and inspiration to many. He lived a bold life full of color.
Fred had a spirit of excellence; he went “all in.”
His life touched many and he will be greatly missed.
The family looks forward to seeing you at the “Circle of Life Memorial Service” to be held in his honor Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at 4 p.m. at the Lake Kiowa Lodge Clubhouse.

MARY ELIZABETH BROWN
Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Brown, 99, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Chapel in Gainesville.
Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at the funeral home preceding the funeral.
Mrs. Brown passed away Aug. 3, 2012, in Gainesville.
She was born Dec. 8, 1912, in Denton County to Ginny Ora and Martha Ellen Davis.
Survivors include son Charles and wife Cindy Brown; grandson, Dave and wife Tonnie Brown; granddaughter, Melanie and husband Scott Hanson; great-grandchildren, Mason and Zoe Brown; and great-granddaughter, Madeline Hanson.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by husband, George W. Brown, Jr.; son, George W. Brown III; parents, Ginny Ora and Martha Ellen Davis; brother, Charles W. Davis; and sister, Ruth E. Jones.
Memorial may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville and Home Hospice of Cooke County.
