GLENN HELLINGER

A funeral Mass for Glenn Hellinger, 58, of Gainesville, is set for 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Victor Cruz officiating.

A rosary with visitation to follow will be held at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012.

Glenn was born on Jan. 28, 1954, in Gainesville to Frank and Christine Knabe Hellinger.

He passed away on Dec. 27, 2012, in Dallas.

He was employed at Zodiac Aerospace.

He is survived by his wife, Trisha Hellinger of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Dwayne and Kelli Abbe of Highland, Ill.; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Caron Abbe of Highland Village; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Patsy Hellinger of Gainesville; sister, Patsy Skinner of Gainesville; brother, David Hellinger of Nocona; sister, Shirley Hellinger of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Doris and James Floyd of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Janie and Jamie Robinson of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Marty Bartlett of Lindsay; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Kim Hellinger of Gainesville; sister-in-law, Ruth Hellinger of Gainesville; grandchildren, Alexa Hamilton, Riley Hamilton, Blake Abbe, Kaitlin Rutz, Bryan Abbe and Kali Rose Rutz; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, J.P. and Marie Henderson of Whitesboro.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tommy, Dennis and Dale Hellinger; sister-in-law, Raynell Hellinger; brother-in-law, Babe Skinner; and brother-in-law, Larry Earl.

Pallbearers will be Travis Skinner, Jonathan Floyd, Billy Schares, Trey Schares, David Schares, Neil Scoggins, Casey Martin and Dustin Martin.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Mary's Catholic Church School or to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.

CLINTON EUGENE SMITH

Clinton Eugene Smith, 64, died unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the North Texas Medical Center.

He was born on Sept. 29, 1948, in Gainesville, the son of Cleamon E. and Dollie Mae Turnham Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Hubert Wright officiating and Dr. Eddie Chennault assisting.  

A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012. A meal will be served at noon Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at the Temple Baptist Church.

Clinton graduated from Gainesville High School in 1967. He worked for Weber Aircraft of Gainesville for 45 years. He was a genuinely above exceptional human being who loved his family dearly. He was willing to help anyone out and put everyone before himself. He will be greatly missed from all those that came to know him and all the lives that he had touched. He loved his Gainesville sports, Cowboys, and his Texas Longhorns. He loved to fish. He never liked to be away from his home in Gainesville for very long. He loved reading his daily Fort Worth Star-Telegram every morning, his Diet Cokes, cookies, and he never used a straw. He coached baseball, basketball, and soccer. He was always upbeat, and proud to be a Smith and a Texan.

Clinton is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Diane (Meyers) Smith; his son, Chad E. Smith and his wife Traci of Keller; his daughter, Christy Stenger and her husband Robert Sr. of Manassas, Va.; granchildren, Robert, Christopher and Rebecca Stenger, Alexander and Brianna Wagner, Hayden and Nolan Smith; sister, Cindy Shaw and her husband David of Denison; brother, Mark A. Smith and his wife Kim of Fort Worth; Taryn and Tyler Clinton Smith and many other nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet, Schnauzer Gizmo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Cleta Smith-Kish.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Martin, Gary Martin, Ricky Huddleston, Danny Kretzschmar, Jeff Mills and Larry Browning. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Stenger, Christopher Stenger and Hayden Smith.

A memorial fund has been set up at Landmark Bank under “Clinton Eugene Smith Memorial Fund.”

JACQULYN ANN WALKER

COLLINSVILLE — Funeral services for Jacqulyn Ann “Jackie” Walker, 43, are set for 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Collinsville with Rev. Keith Byrom and Roger Braziel officiating.  

Burial will follow in Collinsville Cemetery under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.  

Ms. Walker died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, in Dallas.

She was born Oct. 7, 1969, in Sherman.

Survivors include her life partner, Sheila Rathfon of Collinsville; mother, Ann Pafford of Collinsville; father, Jackie Walker of Sherman; siblings, Vonda Sauceman and Shannon Walker of Collinsville and Chris Ball of Tennessee, Scott Ball of Melissa and Adam Ball of San Antonio; grandmother, Ludene Black of Collinsville; and step-grandmother, Thelma Jones of Tom Bean.

Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at the funeral home.

POTTSBORO — Services for Billy Bentley, 60, are pending with Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
