EMOGENE GILMER
Funeral services for Emogene Gilmer, 100, of Gainesville, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Aubrey Spires and Harlan Spires officating with burial to follow in New Resthaven Cemetery.
Emogene passed away on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Muenster Memorial Hospital.
Emogene was born on Aug. 19, 1912, in Thackerville, Okla., to Cicero H. and Alma Lee Rosenfield Spires.
She married Wiley B. Gilmer on Aug. 17, 1930, and was happily married for 48 years. Emogene retired from Chick's department store and she was a lifelong Gainesville resident. Emogene celebrated her 100th birthday in August 2012, with a party held at the former State Theater attended by her family and friends.
Emogene is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Colwell of Fort Worth and Helen Kinne of Denton; siblings, Edna Litsey of Hurst, Aubrey Spires of Gainesville, Harlin Spires of Gainesville and Jimmy Spires of Addison; grandchildren, David Kinne, Chris Colwell, Cynthia Rhodes, Robert Kinne, Debbie Kinne and Carol Casas; four great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley B. Gilmer, in 1978; her parents; two brothers; three sisters; and a great grandchild.

PATSY MARIE PERKINS
CALLISBURG — Funeral services for Patsy Marie Perkins, 69, of Callisburg, are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, in the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronny Hale officating.
Burial will follow in Callisburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Perkins died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, in Gainesville.
Patsy was born on May 23, 1943, in Gainesville to Gordon and JoAnn Cogburn Fenley.
She was employed as a fabricator at Weber Aircraft.
Patsy is survived by her husband, C.E. “Butch” Perkins; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Rodney Swirczynski; sons, Bryan Hurd, Michael Perkins and Ed and his wife Wendy Perkins; grandchildren, Renee Dunham, Travis Hart, Julie and Blake Kline, Justin, Jamie and Jessica Hurd and Madison and Cody Perkins; great-grandson, Teagan Barnett; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Phyllis Fenley; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rickey Fenley; and son-in-law, James Dunham.

MARTIN TAMEZ JR.
A funeral Mass for Martin Tamez, Jr., 61, is set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ardmore, Okla., with Father Thomas Dowdell officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow at Leon Cemetery in Leon, Okla.
Born on July 9, 1951, in Victoria to Martin and Narcissa (Lerma) Tamez, Martin passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at his Marietta, Okla., residence.
His maternal grandparents were Nicanor and Inez Martinez Lerma and his paternal grandparents were Raymundo and Nazaria Borrego, all of Victoria. He and the former Denise Bindel were married on July 28, 1997, in Gainesville, and resided in Madill, Okla., until moving to Ardmore in 1999. After being injured, they moved to the Lake Murray area to be close to family. At the age of 12, his family traveled to Oklahoma where they decided to stay in the Courtney, Okla., area. He attended Turner School and graduated with the class of 1971.
Martin joined the Air Force after graduation where he served six years. After military service he joined the Michelin workforce, where he worked until being injured on the job in February of 2008.
A member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Ardmore, Okla., Martin enjoyed camping, going to the car races and watching sports, especially OU. He loved his family and spending time with his grandkids. Martin retired after 30 years of service with Michelin.
He is survived by his wife, Denise of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Danielle and Bobby Lee Moore III of Healdton, Okla.; brother, Tony Tamez and wife Pamela Gail of Marietta, Okla.; sisters, Inez Halferty and husband Rex of Marietta, Okla., Trina Mapp and husband F.S. of Jimtown, Okla., Teresa Hartman and husband Larry of Leon, Okla., and Gloria Davis and husband Lynn of Leon, Okla.; grandchildren, Erik Martin Moore, Roy Jacob (R.J.) Moore and Braelyn Denise Moore; aunts, Theresa Soto and husband Gonzolo of Victoria, Josephine Lerma of Victoria, Cora Lerma of Corpus Christi and Elvira Lerma of Los Banos, Calif.; five nieces; six nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and cousins. We really appreciate our two special cousins, Israel and Ramona Tames.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Narcissa Tamez; son, Martin Jacob (M.J.) Tamez; and great-nephew, Rowdy Wayne Hartman.
Pallbearers will be Roy Hartman, Jr, Martin Charles Hartman, John Anthony Tamez, Michael “Bubba” Tamez, Robert Paul Mapp and Ray Butler.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening, Jan. 7, 2013, at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home in Ardmore, Okla.

She was born June 26, 1947, in Louisville, Ky.

GORDONVILLE — Franklin Virgil Lusk, 67, of Gordonville, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Texoma Medical Center.

He was born on March 17, 1945, in Springer, N.M.
Survivors include children, Benton Shane Lusk of Virginia and Robert Sofge, Richard Sofge, Kim Sofge, April Butterfield and Tammy Scarborough; siblings, Jim Lusk, Lewis Benton Lusk, Mary Jean Balzano and Peggy Jo Thomas; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
