— DOROTHY “DOT” BENNETT

Funeral services for Dorothy "Dot" Bennett, 86, are set for 10 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Chennault and Rev. Larry Huffman officiating. 

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bennett died Monday, July 22, 2013, in Gainesville.

She was born Oct. 19, 1926, in Gainesville.

Survivors include husband, Sidney Bennett of Gainesville; children, Michael Bennett of Dallas, Des Bennett of Tulsa, Okla., and Cynthia Blackwell of Haltom City; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

JUDY BILLIERI

MANVEL — Funeral services for Judy Billeri, 66, were Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston.

Burial followed under the direction of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Billeri died Friday, July 19, 2013, in Manvel.

She was born May 28, 1947.

Survivors include husband, Martin Billeri, children, Crystal Billeri, Marlene Billeri, Melanie Billeri-Garcia and Luke Billeri II; siblings, Janet Worley of Trustville, Ala., and Ken Reed of Gainesville; and seven grandchildren.

                       

MARYANN CARSON

Funeral services for Mary Ann Carson, 76, of Gainesville, are set for 3 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with Fr. Jeff Stubbs officiating.

Mrs. Carson died Sunday, July 21, 2013.

She was born Aug. 10, 1936, in Fort Worth.

Survivors include husband, W. Grant Carson, of Gainesville; children,  Dan Coleman Deffebach, Jr. of Graham, Tammy Ann Skipwith of Fayetteville, Ark., Terry Lea Hale of Atlanta, Ga., Danice Lillie Grisham of Dallas, Linda Goswick of Kilgore and Grant H. Carson of Ventura, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

REBECCA LAVERNE THOMAS

Funeral services for Rebecca Laverne Thomas, 63, of Gainesville, are set for 1 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, at the Hillcrest Church of Christ with Al Hill officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thomas died Monday, July 22, 2013, in Denton.

She was born on Nov. 23, 1949, in Gainesville.

Survivors include children, Dedra Hendricks of Savannah, Tamera Nicholson and Marcus Thomas of Gainesville and Kimberly Randle of Tulsa, Okla.; sister, Mauri Sadler of Dallas; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013.

ABIGAIL ELIZABETH BREANN VALLAD

WHITESBORO — Funeral services for Abigail Elizabeth Breann Vallad, 7, of Whitesboro, are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Montague Holiness Church with Gregg Shaw officiating.

Burial will follow in Montague Cemetery under the direction of Shaw’s Funeral Home in Bowie.

Abigail Vallad died Sunday, July 21, 2013, in Dallas. 

She was born Aug. 17, 2005, in Nocona.

Survivors include her parents, Jasen and Tonya Vallad; siblings, Andrea, Natalie and Kylie; and grandparents, Glenda Studdard, Lou Cervin, Dorothy and Loyd Waldrip, Mike Taylor and Mark Vallad.
