WHITESBORO – Funeral services for Joshua Coleman Westbrook, 94, of Whitesboro, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Frank Sargent and Bro. Jerry Billings officiating.
Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home.
Josh passed away on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 at his current residence in Denison.
He was born on Oct. 6, 1915 in Dixie to Dave Tanner and Lona Elizabeth (Jarrell) Westbrook. He was married to Flaura Bell Quirl in March of 1934. His hobbies included gardening, hunting and fishing. His true passion was reading and studying the Bible. He was one of the founders of the Church of Jesus Christ in Whitesboro and was a minister of the gospel for over 70 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Hallford and husband, Sonny of Denison and Regina Barnett and husband Barry of Sunnyvale; a son, Rev. Don Westbrook and wife Theresa of Denton; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Flaura; a daughter, Judy Reedy; a great-grandchild, Colton Sidlauska; three brothers, Raymound Westbrook, Ray Westbrook and Edgar Westbrook and two sisters, Buena Westbrook and Hazel Tyler.
Pallbearers are Michael Hallford, Lance Westbrook, Brian Barnett, Tommy Goode, Troy Youst and Kurt Weir.
The family extends special thanks to Donna Higginbotham and her staff for the special treatment Josh received while in their care.
Visitation will be prior to the service, from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro.

Craig is survived by his wife, Amanda Wilson; a daughter, Alyssa Wilson; a son, Tyler Wilson; his parents, Kenneth Wilson and Janie and Todd Whisenant a sister, Leslie Connar and grandmother, Tommie Skinner.

ALPHONSE JOSEPH BENGFORT
LINDSAY — Funeral mass for Alphonse Joseph Bengfort, 84, of Lindsay will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gainesville with Fr. Raymond McDaniel officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. Peter’s Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mr. Bengfort died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009 at the North Texas Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 25, 1924 in Lindsay and was one of seven children born to John and Christina Metzler Bengfort. He attended Lindsay High School. On Oct. 2, 1951 he married Juanita Stevens at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gainesville. They moved to Lindsay in 1953 and together they had eight children (five boys and three girls), Christine, David, Richard, Gary, Twins Robert and Becky, Jennifer and James.
Al worked for many years in the oil field along with farming, corn picking and custom combining. He went to work for Valenite in 1965 as an inspector and retired from there after 25 years of service. After his retirement he spent his time fishing, pecan picking and working on old cars. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Juanita Bengfort of Lindsay; children, Christine and Gary Mozingo of Lindsay, David and Gary Bengfort of Lindsay, Richard and Judy Bengfort of Gainesville, Robert and Shelli Bengfort of Lindsay, Beck and Kelly Bower of Vancouver, Wash., Jennifer Bengfort of Lindsay, James Bengfort of Tulsa, Okla.; sister, Francis Yosten of Muenster and sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Bob Hale of Dallas.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Cassandra Bengfort of Albuquerque, N.M., Brandon and Tasha Bengfort of Ardmore, Okla., Jessica and Victor Smith of Gainesville, Megan Mozingo and Matt Anderton of Gainesville, Erick Bengfort of Gainesville, John Bower of Vancouver, Wash., Jennifer Hermes of Fort Worth, Nick Gunnells of Gainesville, Jacob Kittrell and Dakota Butler of Lindsay; Five great-grandchildren, Craig Bengfort of Gainesville, Brayden Smith of Gainesville, Brandon Bengfort Jr. of Ardmore, Okla., Keegan Turner of Fort Worth and Tyler Anderton of Gainesville and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe and his wife Louise Bengfort; brother, Florenze “Bimps” Bengfort; sister, Margaret “Maggie” Bengfort; sister, Geneve and her husband Walter Huchton and brother-in-law, Werner Yosten.

DENTON — A memorial service for Peggy Patrice Sparks, 57, of Denton will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Denton Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of Denton Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Peggy Patrice Sparks passed away on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 in Corinth.
She was born on Jan. 5, 1952 in Alexandria, Va. to Charles and Mona (Stanley) Interwicz. Peggy taught fifth- grade at Evers Park Elementary School in Denton. She was loved by everyone who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
Peggy is survived by her fiancé, Kenneth Don Gribble of Denton; son, Johnny Wayne Carney of Denison; daughters, Danita Leeder of Mead, Okla. and Ariana Loudon of Paris; brothers, Charles Interwicz of Tuttle, Okla. and Carl Interwicz of Dexter; sisters, Debbie Fleitman and Mary Klement both of Gainesville; grandchildren, Jamie Walls, Samantha Walls, and Emily Carney and numerous other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joe Dale Sparks.

BRIDGEPORT — Funeral services for Sybil Jane Davidson McAden, 92, of Bridgeport, are set for 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jordan Johnson officiating.

Ms. McAden passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2009 in Bridgeport.
She was born to Frances Hugh and Mary E. Johnson Davidson in Willis, Okla. on Feb. 15, 1917, the third of five children. They returned to Texas by the time she was two-years old and she considers herself a Texan.
She married Harold William McAden on Oct. 12, 1935. She was employed by Linda Jo Shoe Factory and Weber Aircraft for many years. She was an officer and color bearer for the Elm Creek Rebekah Lodge No. 6. She was an avid gardener, fantastic southern cook, storyteller, listener, and humorist. Most of all, she was a friend. We were all truly blessed to have her in our lives.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Dorothy McAden of Tempe, Ariz.; daughter and son-in-law, Marybeth and Millard Thomas of Denton; son, Harold Wayne McAden of Bridgeport; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Betty McAden of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter, Patsy McAden of Decatur and daughter, Brenda Lou McAden Aguilar of Denton. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; her sister, Christine Franklin of Richardson and her brother, Joe Davidson of Ardmore, Okla.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Hugh Davidson and her sister, Kitty Meeks.
A visitation will be held today at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
