GERALD PAUL CROW
April 15, 1954-Nov. 3, 2009
A celebration of life ceremony for Gerald Paul Crow was held at 11:30 a.m. today, Nov. 5, 2009 at Westminister Presbyterian Church in Gainesville.
Born in Fort Worth to Joyce Crow and Gerry Butler, Gerald Paul Crow was adopted by Sam Crow and Sarah Lou Crow in 1961.
He was a 20 year veteran of the United States Navy and he resided in Bedford with Shari Crow, his wife of nine years.
He was in charge of the dive team that recovered passengers from the Air Florida Flight 90 that crashed into the Potomac River in Washington D.C. in Jan. of 1982. Paul was also honored by the state of California for his heroic rescue of individuals in the Oct. 1989 earthquake in Oakland, Calif.
He is survived by his wife, Shari Crow; her sons, Ryan and Jason Ott; his children, Scott and Gerriann and Bev and Irv Zitterkopf; his brothers, Andy and Ron Crow; his sister, Becky Farrington; nieces and nephews, Jordan and Andrew and five grandchildren, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him.
He is preceded in death by Sam and Sarah Lou Crow; his brother, Danny and his birth parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be sent to the Association for Disabled Veterans.

VALLEY VIEW — A funeral service for Ruth Sheil, 65, of Valley View, is set for 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Don Yeager officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sheil died Nov. 3, 2009 at the North Texas Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Sheil of Valley View; son, James L. Sheil of Oklahoma City, Okla.; daughter, LeAnn M. Rogers of Forth Worth; son, Eric Sheil of Valley View; son, Alan Sheil of Valley View; mother, Freeda Clark; brother Robert Clark and sister, Beverly Kehnemund all of Enid, Okla.
