ROYCE A. (ROY) MASON

Memorial services for Royce A. (Roy) Mason will be held Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Kremling officiating. Services are under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Royce passed away Nov. 7, 2009 at his home in Gainesville.

Royce was born July 3, 1947 to W.C. and Mary Evelyn Mason in Denton.

Royce is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Jim Biggs and Melinda and Lt. Col. Bart Schuck; grandchildren, Sean, Chris, Sarah and Kaitlyn. He is also survived by his first wife, Jo Fletcher; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rochelle and Sandy Beachump and Art and David Shields; brother and sister-in-law, Calial (Bud) and Pat Mason and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Royce was a truck driver for Chemical Express and Carothers Oil Co. Royce took great joy in his grandchildren, his horses and working with cattle. Royce was kind and generous to all he met, helping anyone he could. Royce will be greatly missed on this earth, but we take comfort that he is with our Lord.

ELLA MAE HUNEYCUTT

Funeral services for Ella Mae Huneycutt, 86, of Gainesville are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 at Clement-Keel Chapel with Bro. Jordon Johnson of Harvey Street Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Ella Mae Huneycutt died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009 at Pecan Tree Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born in Gainesville Oct. 11, 1923 to Frank and Katie (Hacker) Sikes. She married John Huneycutt on May 25, 1940 in Gainesville. She had worked as a Nurses Aide at the Denton State School and worked at Linda Jo Shoe Factory for many years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Gainesville and loved to garden and do canning. Her favorite hobby was her many grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred Stover of Gainesville, Marilyn Moore of Gainesville, Catherine and J.W. Bowling of Colbert, Okla. and Dorothy and J.W. Roberts of Mena Ark.; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great grandchildren and brother, Oscar Sikes of Lindsay.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny Huneycutt and sister, Debbie Sikes.

Visitation is set from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 at the funeral home.





DARLA KAY MARSHALL

SADLER – Graveside services for Darla Kay Marshall, 56, of Sadler will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 at Mt. Tabor Cemetery near Sandusky with Dr. Rusty Waller officiating. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.

Darla passed away on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.

Survivors include her father and step-mother, Bill and Betty Marshall of Sadler and brothers, Gary Marshall of Sadler, Bobby Marshall of California and Billy Marshall of Oklahoma.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening, Nov. 9, 2009 at the funeral home.

FLOYD E. HAGLER

SAINT JO – Memorial services for Floyd E. Hagler, 80, of Saint Jo are pending with a private service at their residence. Burial will be at a private family cemetery. Services are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo.

Mr. Hagler died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at Belmire Nursing Home in Bowie.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Jo Hagler of Saint Jo; daughter, Traci Blanton and son, Brian Todd Blanton.





MAGDALENE FLUSCHE ZIMMERER

1911-2009

HOOD — Funeral Mass for Magdalene Flusche Zimmerer, 98, of Hood will be held at the Sacred Heart Church in Muenster Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 at 10 a.m.

Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Magdalene Flusche Zimmerer died at her home on Nov. 5, 2009.

She was born on Sept. 30, 1911 in Muenster to Joseph Carl and Mary Koelzer Flusche. Magdalene was the sixth of 12 children. She grew up on a Muenster farm, attended school at Sacred Heart School and Our Lady of the Lake College in San Antonio where she received her bachelor’s degree. She married Raymond Zimmerer in Sacred Heart Church in Muenster on May 23, 1939. They were married for 68 years.

She was a teacher, caregiver, farmer’s wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She maintained the Flusche and Zimmerer Family histories for as long as she was able. Raymond and Magdalene had six children: Ray, Richard, Pat, Linda, Cliff and Mary Jane.

She is survived by her brother, Urban; two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Marie Flusche) Zimmerer and Mrs. Gus (Armella Flusche) Lutkenhaus; four children and their spouses, Ray and Ida Zimmerer of Mabank, Richard and Delores Zimmerer of Grapevine, Cliff and Charmaine Zimmerer of Tampa, Fla. and Pat Zimmerer of Denton; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond of Gainesville on June 5, 2007 and two daughters, Linda Kathleen Leijonflycht of Davis, Calif. on August 7, 1998 and Mary Jane of Gainesville on May 9, 1958. Magdalene is also preceded in death by five brothers and their wives, Lawrence, Al, Coonie, JP and Andy Flusche and three sisters and their husbands, Mrs. Henry (Anna Flusche) Henscheid, Mrs. Joe (Ida Flusche) Neu and Mrs. Paul (Marcella Flusche) Fetsch.

Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. this evening, Nov. 10, 2009 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in memory of Magdalene Flusche Zimmerer to the Sacred Heart School Trust Fund, P.O. Box 97, Muenster, TX 76252.
