REV. R.G. LOGAN JR.
Rev. R. G. Logan Jr. went to meet the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, surrounded by friends and loved ones, and as he made his final journey, the song “Amazing Grace” was sung by all present. It was a perfect homegoing for a minister who preached the Gospel for over 60 years.
Funeral services for R. G. Logan Jr. 80, of Gainesville are set for Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the House of Prayer in Gainesville with the Revs. Dennis KIng and James Fellers officating with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Rev. Logan will lie in state at the House of Prayer on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the church.
R. G. Logan was born on Dec. 15, 1932, in Sanger to Raymond Guy and Lillie Pearl George Logan Sr.
Rev. Logan and his wife Frances and family begin their ministry on July 2, 1962, at the House of Prayer Assembly of God. His ministry has included a missionary trip to Panama, where he went into the mountain areas and help to establish churches for the Kuna Indians. Two missionary trips to the Ukraine, where they built a church and supported families with livestock whose parent/ parents were imprisoned for Christian beliefs. They supported the Assemblies of God Children's Home in Honduras. They financed the drilling of wells in Africa to supply drinking water for villages. Their missionary endeavors included supporting missionaries to the American Indian reservations. Through their love for the young people and children, an annual church summer camp was begun in Weatherford.
He was a youth director for eight years and served on the Presbytery board for 12 years for the Denton Section Assembly of God. Their dream of Christian education was fulfilled when Gainesville Christian Academy was founded in 1976. During his pastorage in the new sanctuary, House of Prayer Assembly of God at 2312 E. Broadway St. was constructed. His ministry has included a Sunday morning radio broadcast from 9 to 9:30 a.m. with KGAF for more than 45 years.
Rev. Logan is survived by his wife, Frances Logan; daughter, Janis Thompson; son, the Rev. Rick Logan and wife Pam; daughter, Judy King and her husband, the Rev. Dennis King; and son Tim Logan; grandchildren, Rachel Logan, Timothy Logan and Courtney Logan; and great-grandchild Collin Logan.
He ws preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Chris Logan.

ANTHONY JOSEPH “TONY” KLEMENT
MUENSTER — Funeral services for Anthony Joseph “Tony” Klement, 92, of Muenster, are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Ken Robinson officiating.
Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Muenster under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Klement died Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, in Muenster.
He was born June 13, 1921, in Muenster.
Survivors include his wife, Isabel “Sis” Klement of Muenster; children, Patsy Dangelmayr, Joyce Bayer, Janet Fisher, Alice Walterscheid, Diane Muller, Darlene Abney, Marlene Walterscheid, Peachie Huchton, Pat Klement, Robert Klement, Roy Klement, Steve Klement, Kevin Klement and Gary Don Klement; sister, Anna Marie Bayer; 43 grandchildren; and 80 great-grandchildren.

WYANETTA A. MACON
Graveside services for Wyanetta A. Macon, 88, of Gainesville, are set for 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville with Scott Sides officiating under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Macon died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, in Sherman.
She was born on May 1, 1925, in Denton.
Survivors include daughter, Suzanna Woodard of Collinsville; and one grandchild.
