CLIFTON HAROLD SHUGART

Graveside services for Clifton Harold Shugart, 77, of Walnut Bend, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at the Sherrock Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Bates officiating under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Shugart passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013, in Gainesville.

Clifton was born Aug. 6, 1935, in Matador to Malcolm Eddie and Vera Ruth Carol Shugart.

Mr. Shugart is survived by his son, Clif Harold Shugart of Albuquerque, N.M.; son, Glenn Shugart of Walnut Bend; son, Allen Wayne Shugart of Callisburg; daughter, LaGena Carol Sims-Shugart of Walnut Bend; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his four brothers, L.P. Shugart of Plainview, J.T. Shugart of Houston, E.R. Shugart of Walnut Bend and Ted Shugart of Oklahoma City.

Clifton was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Shugart enjoyed spending time outdoors.  He was passionate about camping, loved to fish and always enjoyed horseback riding.  His grandkids brought him great joy in life as well.

MARY MAXINE SWEET

Graveside services for Mary Maxine Sweet, 81, of Gainesville, are set for Monday, May 13, 2013, at 10 a.m. in the Pavillion at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Kremling officating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 12, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013, in Gainesville.

Mary was born on July 10, 1931, in Love County, Okla., to George Franklin and Mary Bessie Workman Edington.

Mary was a homemaker.

Mother, your love will forever live with us. You gave us life, nurtured and cared for us and embraced us with happy moments along with the sad moments. You stood with courage to meet the responsibility that fell upon you and sacrificed so much for the love of your children. We reflect with admiration and respect the wonderful woman you were. Our hearts will always be filled with joy of knowing your love was the most precious gift we have ever received. We love you for being a caring person, a remarkable woman and exceptional mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. This love that you have given will forever live within us.

Mary is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cynthia Sweet, daughter and son-in-law, Tammi and Steve Hughes; granddaughter and spouse, Samantha and Michael Nava and granddaughters Chrystalin and Chryssle; and great-grandchildren, Zachary and Kyle.

CLYDE BENNETT

Graveside services for Clyde Bennett, 77, of Gainesville, are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Oak Grove Cemetery with Ricky Kerr officiating under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.  

Mr. Bennett died Thursday, May 9, 2013, in Dallas.

He was born Oct. 17, 1935, in Gainesville.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Bennett of Gainesville; children, David Bennett, Andy Barnes and Steve Bennett; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

CAROL ANN WHITSON DOLLAR

RUNAWAY BAY — Memorial services for Carol Ann Whitson Dollar, 69, of Runaway Bay, are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Denny Hook officiating.

Mrs. Dollar died Sunday, May 5, 2013.

She was born Sept. 9, 1943, in Hanford, Calif.,

Survivor include husband, Bill Dollar; children, Billy Ray Dollar Jr. of Gainesville, Alison LaVelle Dollar Weinberg of Dallas and Lee Whitson Dollar of Denton; and six grandchildren.

CLAUDE FLEMING

WHITESBORO – Funeral services for Claude David Fleming, 86, are set for 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Joe Patterson officiating.  

Burial will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro under the direction of Meador Funeral Home.

Mr. Fleming died May 9, 2013, in Sherman.

He was born on March 30, 1927, in Quanah.

Survivors include children, Claude Warren Fleming of Whitesboro, Patricia Ann Washburn of Okatie, S.C., and Rhonda “Janie” Fridinger of Buford, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is set for 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the funeral home.

MURLE EDWARD GREGORY

THACKERVILLE, Okla. — Memorial services for Murle Edward Gregory, 67, of Thackerville, Okla, are set for 2 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Thackerville Church in Thackerville, Okla., with Glenn Waldon officiating under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.

Mr. Gregory died Tuesday, May 7, 2013, in Ardmore, Okla.

He was born Oct. 12, 1945, in Dickens.

Survivors include wife, Jeanette Gregory of Thackerville, Okla.
