EVA JANE (DEAN) HAVERKAMP

Funeral services for Eva Jane (Dean) Haverkamp, 78, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hubert Wright officiating.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, also at the funeral home.

Eva passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville.

She was born on Aug. 9, 1934, in Era to James Herschel “Bud” Dean and Iva Jane (Durham) Dean.

She married Julius John “Judy” Haverkamp on Nov. 6, 1951, in Gainesville. She was an accomplished pianist in her youth. She became a licensed vocational Nurse in 1965, and later obtained her Associate of Applied Science degree at Cooke County College in 1979. She was the first female degreed paramedic in the state of Texas. She was active in the P.T.A. as president and room mother at McMurray Elementary School. She was a member of the Mu Epsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. She was a member of the L.V.N. Association and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (national and local). She helped organize the Cooke County Democratic Women, serving as treasurer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gainesville.

Survivors include daughters, Vicky Hildebrand of Tulsa, Okla., Janna Vitiello of El Paso, Judy Bengfort of Gainesville and Patti Haverkamp of Gainesville; a brother, Weldon Dean and wife Grace of Gainesville; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

VICTORIA JANE  MORROW

Victoria Jane Morrow of Gainesville, Texas, passed away on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012.

One of eight children, Vicki was born Feb. 8, 1948, in Wewoka, Okla., daughter of Victor and Jane Cotton, with siblings David, Martha, Gary, Craig, Chuck, J.D. and Melanie.

She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 30 years, Craig P. Morrow; and her sons, Luke Edward and Nicholas Grant (wife, Stephanie) Morrow. She also leaves behind a host of beloved relatives and friends.

Vicki was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend of many across the country.

Her fun-loving spirit and warm personality endeared her to all. She enjoyed the adventures of travel, sailing and raising Longhorns with her husband at their ranch.

A visitation and Rosary will be at Meador Funeral Chapel in Gainesville at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Church in Dallas at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2012, with a reception following.  

Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Church in Lindsay at 2 p.m. Jan. 3, 2013.
