LOIS ESTELLE McDANIEL GILLIAND

CARROLLTON — Funeral services for Lois Estelle McDaniel Gilliland, 99, of Carrollton, formerly of Gainesville, are set for Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at 3 p.m. in the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Chuck Aaron officiating with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lois passed away on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, in Carrollton.

Lois was born on Sept. 29, 1913, in Carrollton to William H. and Myrtle Howe McDaniel.

The family moved to Gainesville in 1915. Lois married J.A. Gilliland on Nov. 17, 1933.

They operated Gilliland Grocery and Market for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Whaley United Methodist Church in Gainesville.

Lois is survived by a son John Dale Gilliland and his wife Jane of Huntington Beach, Calif.; daughters, Donna Gilliland and Susan Wittwer and husband Fred, of Carrollton; grandson, John Richard Gilliland of Huntington Beach, Calif.; granddaughter and husband Lisa and Thierry Mohn and their sons Ian and Eric of Kingwood; grandson, Keith Maples of Carrollton; sister, Wilma Martin of Marietta, Okla.; and brother, Dr. Wallace H. McDaniel and wife Leah of Spring.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Harold McDaniel; and sister, Margaret Wilson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Whaley Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.

YOLANDA MORALES GARCIA

Funeral services for Yolanda Morales Garcia, 54, of Gainesville, are set for 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Victor Cruz officiating.

Burial will follow in New Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Garcia died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, in Gainesville.

She was born Oct. 31, 1958, in Robstown.

Survivors include husband, Gelasio Garcia of Gainesville; children, Charles Luis Garcia and Elida Maria Garcia of Gainesville; eight siblings; and six grandchildren.
