LOIS ESTELLE McDANIEL GILLIAND

CARROLLTON — Funeral services for Lois Estelle McDaniel Gilliland, 99, of Carrollton, formerly of Gainesville, are set for Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at 3 p.m. in the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Chuck Aaron officiating with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lois passed away on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, in Carrollton.

Lois was born on Sept. 29, 1913, in Carrollton to William H. and Myrtle Howe McDaniel.

The family moved to Gainesville in 1915. Lois married J.A. Gilliland on Nov. 17, 1933.

They operated Gilliland Grocery and Market for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Whaley United Methodist Church in Gainesville.

Lois is survived by a son John Dale Gilliland and his wife Jane of Huntington Beach, Calif.; daughters, Donna Gilliland and Susan Wittwer and husband Fred, of Carrollton; grandson, John Richard Gilliland of Huntington Beach, Calif.; granddaughter and husband Lisa and Thierry Mohn and their sons Ian and Eric of Kingwood; grandson, Keith Maples of Carrollton; sister, Wilma Martin of Marietta, Okla.; and brother, Dr. Wallace H. McDaniel and wife Leah of Spring.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Harold McDaniel; and sister, Margaret Wilson.

YOLANDA MORALES GARCIA

Funeral services for Yolanda Morales Garcia, 54, of Gainesville, are set for 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Victor Cruz officiating.

Burial will follow in New Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Garcia died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, in Gainesville.

She was born Oct. 31, 1958, in Robstown.

Survivors include husband, Gelasio Garcia of Gainesville; children, Charles Luis Garcia and Elida Maria Garcia of Gainesville; eight siblings; and six grandchildren.

MICHAEL A. NASH

SADLER — Cremation arrangements for Michael A. Nash, 73, of Whitesboro, are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.

Mr. Nash died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, in Whitesboro.

He was born on Feb. 2, 1939, in Glen Ridge, N.J.

Survivors include wife, Jean Nash of Sadler; children, Michael Douglas Nash, of Ames, IA, and Michele Caprice Dobyns; sister, Mary Nash of New Hampshire; and three grandchildren.

JOHN “JERRY” SAXTON

CUSTER CITY — Funeral services for John “Jerry” Saxton, 86, of Custer City are set for 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel with Father Stubbs of St. Paul's Episcopal Church officiating.  

Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.  

Mr. Saxton died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, in Plano.

He was born Jan. 19, 1927, in Minneapolis, Minn.  

Survivors include wife, Rochelle Saxton of Custer City; children, Robin Saxton of Austin, Roy Dale Saxton of Springtown, Dewey Carpenter of Alexandria, Va., Scott Dungan of Custer City and Casey Dungan of Woodbine; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  

Visitation is set for 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at the funeral home.

LAVONE WASHINGTON

Funeral services for Lavone Washington, 79, are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at North Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Gainesville under the direction of Golden Gate Funeral Home.

Mrs. Washington died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013.

Survivors include children, Lavonna, Sheena and Rochelle, Alander, Johnny, Samuel and Russell; two sisters; 26 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Trinity Temple COGIC, 402 N. Weaver St. in Gainesville.

Mr. Reeves died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, in Gainesville.
