Mike Schmitz won Place 4 on the board over incumbent Bellows and Zach Nichols elected not to run for another term on the board.The board took action to approve the date to canvass the school board election votes.  <title>Sivells Bend Fall Festival scheduled</title>

  <description>The Fall Festival is a tradition at Sivells Bend Elementary School.In an interview last August, Superintendent Phil Newton pointed out that the event is the student&#8217;s sole fundraiser.&#8220;We don&#8217;t send our students out selling things door-to-door,&#8221; Newton noted.This year&#8217;s festival is set for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the school located at 1053 County Road 403.The festival is scheduled to feature a barbecue dinner, $1 hotdogs, live and silent auction items, a toy store, cake walk and drawings for two beef halves donated by J.R. Marriott Ranch and processed by Walterscheid Meats in Muenster, $100 cash, a $100 Wal-Mart gift card and a gas grill.Angela Lang, an administrative assistant with Sivells Bend ISD, said the event will feature some old-fashioned fun including kids&#8217; carnival-style games and a toy store.</description>
