Lindsay ISD trustees approve start of Phase II of fieldhouse renovation

On Monday, the Lindsay Independent School District Board of Trustees met in a special called training meeting to participate in the Team of Eight Training and to conduct business for the school district. During the meeting, the following activities transpired:

The Board entered into Executive Session as Authorized by Government Code, Chapter 551, Subchapters D and E. at 6:35 p.m. to discuss personnel.

The Board returned to open session at 7:20 p.m.

The Board approved moving the election polling location from Conrad Hall to the Lindsay High School Commons area for the May 8, 2010 election.

The board approved the start of Phase II of the football field house renovation project.

Kelly Huston, Superintendent Secretary, presented a training session to board members on the upgraded features of the web based software BoardBook program.

Carolyn Pierel, Region XI Education Service Center consultant and former Superintendent of Argyle ISD, presented the team of eight training to the board. The topic of discussion was “How to Develop a Long Range Facility Plan.”

The Board adjourned at 9 p.m.

Board member Rudy Zimmerer was absent.
