Church News 3-15

(Continued)

Gainesville Bible Church

Under the old administration, God governed mankind through a specific set of laws or commands. Under His new administration of Grace – afforded by Jesus – He prescribed a new law. This new law not only superseded but fulfilled the older law of commandments. Jesus explained that this new law was not really new at all but lay at the very heart of all of God’s previous commands. Isn’t it amazing how, looking back, we find that fulfilling the law of Love actually satisfies all of the old commands of God?

At Gainesville Bible Church, we invite you come join us as we endeavor to learn more about God’s perfect law of love and grow in our outworking of that biblical model of love.

We start Sunday morning in the Fellowship Hall at 9 a.m. with coffee and breakfast followed by Sunday School for all ages at 9:30 a.m. and the Morning Worship in the auditorium at 10:40 a.m. Our Nursery for little children opens at 10:40 a.m.  The older children have their own Children’s Church after the offering time.  Evening Worship is at 6 p.m. in the little chapel.

Our Grief Support Class meets at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Fellowship Hall.

Wednesday Prayer Meeting and Youth Get-together is at 7 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.

For early risers we have coffee, breakfast and Bible Study at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday in Fellowship Hall.

Check out our website.  Go to Google and type in www.gabctx.org.

We will have a Singing Sunday the 31 at 6 p.m.  It will be Easter Sunday and what better time to gather to praise our Risen Savior in song?

Our Prophesy Conference is scheduled for April 14-17. More details to follow.

Choice Stephens and Rick Collett took up the offering as Suzanne Carpenter played  “The Old Rugged Cross”  on the grand piano.  Then Suzanne accompanied Rick Collett as he sang “Amazing Grace.”

We wished Rick’s father a happy birthday and also happy anniversary to Emma and Hannah Green’s grandparents.

Bro. Bill Black’s sermon was from James 4:13-17.  When is ‘someday’?  Don’t boast about tomorrow.  Today is all we have.

Marcia Porter gave the benediction.
