Cooke County — Callisburg Church of Christ

The youth from the Callisburg Church of Christ got together this past

week for an evening of food and a movie.  There was pizza, candy,

popcorn, video games and a great movie.  Thanks to the kids that came

out we had a great time. The men of the congregation are having there

annual fishing trip on Lake Texoma this weekend.  They will be out

there Friday and Saturday trying to catch the big ones.  Sunday will

be our monthly fellowship luncheon and song service. We will be having

a potluck meal immediately following morning service in the fellowship

hall, then Sunday evening we will be having our monthly song service.

We would love to have you come out and join us.  We also have a trip

to a Texas Ranger ballgame in the works and when a date is finalized

we will let everyone know.

While we have a lot of activities going on our primary purpose at the

Callisburg Church of Christ is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ,

and worship God. We would love to have you come and join us. Sunday

mornings sermon is entitled “Searching for Louie” and Sunday evening

we will be having our monthly song service.

Please consider coming out and joining us. We have Sunday School for

all ages beginning at 9:30 a.m. Worship service beginning at 10:30

a.m. and again at 6 p.m. Our ladies meet each Thursday morning for a

Bible class at 8:30 a.m. Come visit us soon, we promise you a warm

welcome from a loving group.

Calvary Baptist Church

Welcome

We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m., where the dress is casual,

with a relevant Bible message, and the music is a blend of hymns and

contemporary praise. However, at CBC we acknowledge that worship is

much more than the songs that we sing or the music we play. It is a

life lived daily that brings glory to the Father and can be expressed

in many ways, such as reading His Word, prayer, giving, preaching,

life on mission, and spending time alone with God daily, to just name

a few. The important aspect of worship is that our heart and mind are

honoring and lifting up God in a way that He is the center of our

lives.
