Callisburg United Methodist Church

We welcome you to our church.  Sunday school begins at 9:45 am and church services begin at 11 a.m.  Our Pastor is Kathy J. Brown.  She can be reached at the church at 665-1985 or by cell phone 940-300-1278.

This Sunday morning, September 16, announcements were given by Barbara Smith. Larry Wallace led the congregation in the Affirmation of Faith and Pastor Kathy Brown led Children’s Time.

The Pastor’s sermon was titled “Desperate Desires Series #2”, taken from the New Testament, Mark 8:27-38. Ushers for the month are Matt& Brayden Medford.

Christian Science Society

On Sunday, Sept. 24, the subject for our weekly lesson will be “Unreality” which will include quotations from the Bible and correlative passages from “God the Preserver of Man” by Mary Baker Eddy, our founder, which explains the readings from the Bible from a spiritual perspective.

Our service is held at 115 E. Hird St., at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is cordially invited. Our reading room is always open to all before services.

Breakfast Time

Each Sunday morning there will be breakfast foods for you to enjoy from 9 to 9:30 a.m. in the kitchen, Donations will be accepted for The children’s Ministry.

Sunday Worship Service

Sunday morning Dr. Sutton will continue our study, "Nehemiah, the Rebuilding Project." This week we will be looking at Nehemiah Chapter 7.

The Revelation

Our Wednesday evening Bible study is a verse by verse study of Revelation. Our study this week covered chapter 1. After Bible study we spend time praying for spiritual and physical needs of family and friends of CBC among numerous other things. Anytime that you have a prayer need please call the church office at 665-4082 or 668-8893 and let us have the privilege of praying for you.

“Wednesday For Kids”

Exciting things are happening at CBC for children Pre-K through 5th grade and a Bible study time for young people 6th through 12th grade. Parents, mark your calendars for Wednesday, Sept. 5, 6 p.m. for the big kick-off. The children and youth will be served dinner each Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. prior to the studies.

Girl’s Nite Out

Shirley Meek will be our speaker for the Oct. 1 Girl’s Nite Out. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with Potluck Meal followed by Shirley sharing her personal testimony. All area women are invited to join us. There will be child care.

  • Men's group Church to start new ministry

    Gainesville Westminster Presbyterian Church, deeply entrenched  as part of the  community since 1946, is stepping out in faith by reaching out through a new ministry beginning Jan. 27 entitled “Men’s Accountability Network” (MAN). The ministry is designed to provide encouragement and support to men who aspire to build stronger relationships with God and family.

    The Callisburg United Methodist Church is located at 123 Oscar Cole Street in Callisburg, Texas and you are invited to attend the services which begin each Sunday at 10 a.m. for Sunday school and 11 a.m. for church.
