Whaley United Methodist Church
The New Testament contains many images to help us understand the role of the church. We are the body of Christ, a family of faith, and God's workforce in the world. In his letter to the Philippians, Paul uses an interesting image. He says that the church shines like stars against the darkness of the world (Philippians 2:15). Join us this Sunday for Celebration Worship and the sermon "Shining Like Stars" as we seek to understand how we can shine in our part of the world. As always, our service will feature excellent music...old and new. This week's Special Music will be a duet by two of Whaley's most talented musicians, Susan Beall and Nancy Moore, accompanied by Jane Weaver on piano. "Kid Time" will be led by Kelley Crawford.
