SANGER — Calvary Baptist

 “Free Pancakes 4 All”

On Sunday, Nov. 4 we will be serving a free pancake breakfast in fellowship hall beginning at 9:30 a.m. Following the breakfast there will be a Bible study taught by a guest speaker. Plan to bring your family, neighbors and friends for a good time of great food and fellowship.

Worship services are at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Calvary Baptist is located at 900 S Wine Street. All are welcome to join us as we worship our Lord.



Christian Science Society

On Sunday, Nov. 4, the subject for our weekly lesson will be “Mortals and Immortals” which will include quotations from the Bible and correlative passages from “Science and Health, with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy, our founder, which explains the readings from the Bible from a spiritual perspective.

Our service is held at 115 E. Hird St., at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is cordially invited. Our reading room is always open to all before services.



Faith Lutheran Church

Faith Lutheran Church invites everyone to join our worship service on Sunday morning. The traditional worship service will begin at 10:15 a.m. The sermon for the 23rd Sunday after Pentecost will be based on the Gospel of Mark: 28-37. Sunday School for children and youth and Bible Study for the adults will begin at 9:00 A.M. John Morris will be leading the Adult Bible Class in a study of the life of Jonah.

In Faith’s church family, Harry Kessner, Sharon Norton, Trevor Porter, and Cyndi Brown will celebrate their birthdays this week. Rusty and Marie Wilson will celebrate their wedding anniversary.

First United Methodist Church

First United Methodist Church welcomes you to worship with us Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:45 a.m. We are located at 214 S. Denton Street. Childcare is available for ages 5 and under.

Our 8:30 worship is a little more relaxed but always includes beautiful music.  The 10:45 service is traditional and features hymns, organ, piano, and choir and also often includes music from our handbells, children’s and youth choirs. Children are welcome in worship and we include a Children’s Sermon at each service.  

We offer Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month.

Join us this Sunday, Nov. 4, for worship at either 8:30 or 10:45 a.m. This week Rev. Don Yeager’s sermon is titled, “The Blood of Christ,” based on Hebrews 9:11-14.    

We will celebrate Holy Communion and observe All Saints Sunday by reading the names of church members who have died during the last twelve months.

Grand Avenue Baptist Church

This Sunday is Penny Sunday at Grand Ave. so please remember to bring your change to put in the little red wagon as the children pull it around at offering time.

We start Sunday morning at 9 a.m. with coffee and breakfast in the Fellowship Hall followed by Sunday School for all ages and Morning Worship at 10:40 a.m.   

Evening Worship is at 6 p.m. in the little chapel.

Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. we have Prayer Meeting and Youth Get-together in the Fellowship Hall.

GABC is in the 600 block of North Grand Ave. with entrance doors and paved, off-street parking on the east side, on Clements Street.

Mt. Olive First Missionary Baptist Church

An installation service for Rev. Preston A. Brown will be held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4 at Mt. Olive First Missionary Baptist Church at 617 Mill St. in Gainesville. Please accept out invitation and help us in welcoming our new pastor.

Rev. Brown is a graduate of the University of North Texas and is currently working toward a Master of Theology degree at Dallas Theological Seminary.



New Life Bible Church

 New Life Bible Church exists to glorify God by introducing people to Jesus Christ, to develop them in Christian living, making a positive impact in our generation and in the world. Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m., and the morning worship service begins at 10:45 a.m.

A nursery is provided from 9:30 a.m. to noon each Sunday.

Prairie Grove Baptist Church

The Fall Festival will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3.  A silent auction will be held and a chili cook-off will be for anyone who wants to join us.

The mission team left this week for the Navajo Reservation, where four trailer loads of clothing and bedding and needed items will be handed out.  We are now praying for someone willing to drive a large load of firewood to the Mission. We can get the firewood, but if anyone can help deliver it, please call Larry or Janie Clark at (940) 665-5901.

Services begin 9:30 am for Sunday School, morning worship begins at 10:30 am.

Vilott Baptist Church

Sunday morning worship

We begin with a fellowship breakfast at 9:30 a.m. followed by Sunday School for all ages at 10 a.m.

The worship service begins at 11 a.m. with singing praises to the Lord, and our Pastor Rick Isham brings God's message.

Wednesday evening

We celebrate our blessings with a meal prepared with loving hands to feed the body at 6 p.m. Everybody is welcome and there is no charge. At 7 p.m. we have small groups meeting for prayer and Bible study.

Vilott Baptist Church is open to all many times a week. There are many ways to serve the Lord and share the Gospel. Please come and join in with us praying and learning more of what God has in store for you.



Westminster Presbyterian Church

All Visitors and Residents of Gainesville are cordially invited to worship the Lord Jesus at Westminster Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) each Sunday and Wednesday. WPC is a Conservative Evangelical Protestant Reformed church. Our worship service is very traditional using the ACTS form of worship: Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. Dress is always casual.

Sunday School is at 9:45 am and our Worship Service is at 10:45 am. The Sunday Evening Worship is at 6 pm. & Wednesday Bible Study is at 7 pm. Both meet in the Fellowship Hall.

This Sunday, Nov 4, Pastor Darrell McIntyre will use the text Col. 1:21-23 for his sermon titled “Holy In His Sight”.

The choir anthem will be “Behold the Lamb,” a Communion hymn by Keith & Kristyn Getty & Stuart Townend.
