Church news 11-9

(Continued)

Gainesville — Whaley United Methodist Church

"Come Home to Whaley UMC" this Sunday as we observe Veterans' Day.  For the first Sunday after the election, we will read 1 Timothy 2:1-7, which exhorts Christians to pray for leaders.  The passage also commends a peaceful life.  How can we experience peace in the midst of all the turmoil around us?  Join us for "A Peaceful Life in an Unpeaceful World."  As always, our service is filled with excellent music.  This week Whaley's musical ensemble, Remembrance, will be featured.  The group, composed of Jayne Austin, Susan Beall, Nancy Moore, Joybell Schalk, and Glenn Wilson, will sing Get on Board and Gentle Words.  Pastor Chuck will lead this week's "Kid Time."
