Grand Avenue Baptist Church

Welcome to our two new members, Brandon McPherson and Kirk Posey, baptized last Sunday.  We welcome you and will be praying for you.

Special wishes

We wished Collin King, Dustin Hughes and Lynda Sandmann a happy birthday.

Choice Stephens opened the morning worship with prayer.  Rick Collett and Richard Hughes took up the offering as Suzanne Carpenter played  Stand By Me on the grand piano.

Bro. Bill Black’s sermon was from Luke 8:40-55.  This is the story of two people who were healed.  One was the daughter of Jairus; the other was a woman with an issue of blood for 12 years.  Just touching the hem of Jesus’ robe healed the woman while Jesus raised Jairus’ daughter from the dead.

Our new youth choir sang “Go Down In The River to Pray” just before the baptisms.

Benny Strong gave the benediction.

Penny Sunday

This Sunday will be Penny Sunday at Grand Ave. so remember to bring your change to put in the red wagon as the children pull it around during offering time.

Word Youth lunch

The Word Youth goes out to lunch the first Sunday of each month.  Join us for lunch.  Location is undecided and changing.
