Three Callisburg Lady Cats volleyball players recently received superlative awards in District 11-2A.

After Callisburg’s loss in the regional tournament this past weekend, the 11-2A All-District list was released with Callisburg senior Taylor Coleman taking home co-Libero of the Year along with S&S senior Rachel Curry.

Lady Cats sophomore Kalli Byrom was recognized as co-Setter of the Year along with Morgan Watson of Gunter.

Junior Kenzie Pringle was named co-Newcomer of the Year along with Baleigh Reynolds of Pottsboro.

Coming away with the Most Valuable Player award in the district was Katie Wilson of Pottsboro while Gunter’s Joey Bailey was tabbed Offensive Player of the Year

Defensive Player of the Year went to Harlee Johnson, also of Gunter.

Coaches of the Year went to Marshall Wallace of Pottsboro and Keva Reed of Gunter.

Junior Karley Rohrbough was named to the first-team while sophomore Amberly Colwell was selected for second-team all-district.

Madeleine Lowe was the lone Callisburg representative making the honorable mention list.
