The Muenster Lady Hornets won the annual Fantasy of Lights Tournament Saturday by defeating Wellington in the championship game 57-49.
Taylor Klement led the way for Muenster (7-1) with 25 points while Lana Heers added 10.
Demi Koelzer chipped in nine points, Allison Pagel and Andi Felderhoff each had six and Emily Hellman added one.
Klement was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player while Koelzer, Heers and Pagel were each named to the All-Tournament team.
To get to the title game, Muenster defeated Texoma Christian in the semi-final round by the score of 53-43.
Heers led the team with 17 points in the win while Klement added 12 and Koelzer dropped 11. Pagel added eight points, Hellman had two and Andi Felderhoff scored two.
On Friday, Muenster defeated Wichita Falls City View’s junior varsity 61-17 and opened the tournament with a 74-30 win over New Way Christian Academy.
Against City View, Heers scored 16 points, Klement added 14, Pagel scored 10, Koelzer finished with seven, Amber Walterscheid scored four, Michelle Sicking and Felderhoff each had three and Shelby Dangelmayr and Paige Hennigan each finished with two.
Against New Way, Klement led all scorers with 27 points, Koelzer added 10, Pagel had nine, Hennigan scored seven, Heers finished with six, Dangelmayr scored five, Walterscheid scored four, Kalyn Dangelmayr scored three, Sicking had two and Felderhoff added one.
