Lady Knights win at Saint Jo CC meet

SAINT JO — The Lindsay Lady Knights cross country team ran away with a win at a meet in Saint Jo Saturday.
Lindsay finished first with 33 points, while Muenster was second with 50 and Paradise was third with 59. Valley View finished fourth (93), Saint Jo was fifth (113) and Sacred Heart was sixth (173).
For Lindsay, Kelsey Hermes placed first overall with a time of 12:22, while Megan Caillier was third with a 13:16. Also for the Lady Knights, Shirley Hess was eighth (13:23), Megan Holt was ninth (13:44), Jessica Block was 12th (13:45), Jordan Fleitman was 15th (14:10), Bethani Eberhart was 18th (14:27), Cammi Neu was 21st (14:44), Alli Fogle was 35th (15:35) and Brianne Sandmann was 46th (17:01).
In the varsity boys division, Lindsay’s Thomas Rohmer placed 10th (21:01), Travis Block was 11th (21:06) and Josh Timmins was 24th (22:41).
In the junior high girls division, Lindsay’s Lauren Gibbs was first (13:16), Courtney Neu was seventh (15:17), Nikki Fleitman was eighth (15:19) and Kailei Klement was 13th (15:44).
In the junior high boys division, Lindsay’s Dakota Ellender was first (12:13), Jeff Hellman was 11th (13:38) and Caleb Anderle was 17th (14:10).
At the Old Celina FCA Invitational Saturday, the Gainesville boys finished seventh overall with 172 points. Argyle won the boys division with 36 points, while Denton Guyer was second with 90 and Little Elm was third with 120.
Gainesville’s Giovanni Carranza placed eighth with a time of 17:00.
In the girls division, Gainesville placed eighth with 200 points. Argyle was first (33), Celina was second (62) and Denton Guyer was third (87).
