MUENSTER — Kristin LeBrasseur scored 28 points and Karli Anderle added 25 to lead the Sacred Heart Tigerettes to a 74-49 win over the Valley View Lady Eagles Monday in Muenster.
Sacred Heart (6-1) only led 32-23 at halftime, but outscored Valley View 25-9 in the third period to pull away.
“I was very pleased with our intensity after the half,” Tigerette coach Jon LeBrasseur said. “We were somewhat sluggish at times in the first half. Valley View is much improved and they caught our attention tonight.”
In addition to her 28 points, LeBrasseur dished out six assists, while Anderle had 8 rebounds and 8 steals. Rebekah Hesse added 6 points, Raynee Hogan had 5, Mikaela Bartush scored 4, and Madeline Hanson, Sydney Hoedebeck and Kelsey Reeves each had 2.
No individual results were made available for Valley View.
Nocona 54
Muenster 47
NOCONA — The Muenster Lady Hornets went on the road for the first time this season and fell to the Nocona Lady Indians 54-47 Monday night.
Muenster (3-1) led 15-12 after the first quarter and 29-24 at halftime, but Nocona outscored the Lady Hornets 17-8 in the third period to take control.
Demi Koelzer led Muenster with 12 points, while Lia Heers and Taylor Klement each added 10, Shaina Felderhoff and Lana Heers both scored 5, Allison Pagel had 3 and Jackie Klement scored 2.
In the junior varsity game, Muenster downed Nocona 35-27.
Shelby Dangelmayr led MHS with 11 points, Emily Hellman and Paige Hennigan each added 6, Michelle Sicking and Paige Herr both had 4 and Lauren Rohmer added 2.
Lindsay 54
Turner (OK) 34
LINDSAY — The Lindsay Lady Knights opened their season with a 54-34 win over Turner (Okla.) Monday night.
“I was very pleased with the girls’ effort tonight,” Lindsay coach Don Neu said. “They played hard the entire game. It was a good start to the season.”
Megan Caillier led Lindsay with 15 points, Cammi Neu added 12, Jessica Block scored 11, Kristin Martin had 6, Allison Metzler and Katie Nortman both had 4, and Katie Dieter added 2.
The Lindsay junior varsity also defeated Turner 21-19.
Lucinda Krahl and Jordan Fleitman both had 6 points for Lindsay, while Katie Arent, Emily Ambuhel, Taylor Atkins and Brianne Sandmann each scored 2, and Megan Schumacher added 1.

DENISON — The Whitesboro Lady Cats went on the road and defeated Class 4A Denison Monday 45-38
Whitesboro took control early, outscoring the Lady Jackets 18-6 in the first quarter.
Jill Schuessler led the Lady Cats with 19 points and 9 rebounds, Rachel Urban added 8, Becca Winter had 6 points and 5 rebounds, Jennifer Williams had 5 points and 5 rebounds, Tatum Ezzell scored 5 and Madison Allen added 2.
