The Cooke County All-Star team kicked off their District 3 Dixie 13-14 boys baseball tournament with a win over an equally talented Princeton Panthers team in a 10-6 win Saturday night at Edison Park in Gainesville.
The CC All-Stars continued their winning ways Sunday night as they defeated the Little Elm Indians 10-0 in five innings to advance to the championship game to be played on Wednesday night at 6 p.m., at Edison Park.
The District 3 Dixie tournament is a three-team double elimination tournament that will advance the winner to the state tournament July 11 in Sulphur Springs. The winner of the state tournament will attend nationals.
The Panthers will take on the Indians Tuesday night at 8 p.m., at Edison Park. The winner will face the Cooke County All-Stars in the Championship game Wednesday night. Proceeds from the concessions and entry fee benefit the Cooke County Baseball League.
Coached by Chris Styles, Kyle Kuhn and Steve Kessler, the Cooke County All-Star team includes Hud Harrison, Trevor Hess, Blayne Styles, Andy Flusche, Tanner Kuhn, Denzel Johnson, Chance Sikes, Stephen Marion, Austin Aldridge, Steven Flusche and Jacob Kessler.

- Knights one-hit Callisburg for win The Lindsay Knights one-hit the Callisburg Wildcats for a 5-0 win in Saturday’s conclusion of the Lindsay Tournament.
- Lady Leopards' win punches playoff ticket The Gainesville Lady Leopards scored a pair of goals in each half and cruised to a 4-0 victory over the Wichita Falls Hirschi Lady Huskies Friday, giving the soccer girls the distinction of being the first GHS sports team to qualify for the playoffs this year.
- Lady Leopards mercy rule Muenster In their final tune up game before district play starts Monday, the Gainesville Lady Leopards produced one of their best offensive outings of the season with a 17-2 wins over the Muenster Lady Hornets in four innings Friday at NCTC’s Darwin Fields.
