DECATUR — The Lindsay Lady Knights cross country team finished second at the Decatur meet Saturday in what could be a preview of the Class A state meet.
Lindsay finished with 79 points to finish second behind Seymour, who had 32. Alvord was third with 103, Era was fourth with 123 and Krum was fifth with 141.
“Hopefully we will get a chance at revenge when we meet up with them at the state meet,” Lindsay coach Robin Hess said.
Lindsay’s Kelsey Hermes was the individual champion with a time of 11:45. Megan Caillier finished fifth (12:16), Megan Holt was 20th (12:54), Bethani Eberhart was 28th (13:06), Shirley Hess was 31st (13:09), Jessica Block was 37th (13:20), Jordan Fleitman was 38th (13:20), Cammi Neu was 55th (13:42), Alie Fogle was 62nd (14:07) and Brianne Sandmann was 76th (15:18).
In the varsity boys divisin, Lindsay’s Travis Block was 31st (17:39) and Josh Timmins was 39th (18:10).
Lindsay will run again this Saturday in Lewisville in their final tuneup before the district meet.
