The Whitesboro Lady Cats defeated the Gainesville Lady Leopards in four sets Tuesday in the final match of the season for both teams.
Whitesboro won 25-9, 13-25, 25-13, 25-21.
For the Lady Cats, Kortney Beebe had 12 kills, 2 aces, 2 digs and 5 blocks; Jill Schuessler had 7 kills and 4 digs; Courtney Davis had 2 assists, 2 aces, 4 digs and 3 blocks; Jennifer Williams had 5 kills, 2 assists, 6 digs and 1 block; Becca Winter had 5 kills, 2 aces and 7 digs; Taylor Ezzell had 29 assists, 1 kill, 1 ace and 7 digs; Krista Hitt had 8 digs; Rachel Urban had 11 digs; Ashley Kirby had 2 kills and a dig; Becca Mock had 2 assists and 2 digs; and Katelyn Labhart and Chelsea Shurbet each had a dig.
No stats for Gainesville were made available.
Whitesboro finished the season with an overall record of 23-13 (3-7 in District 9-3A. Gainesville finished 6-33 (0-10 district).
Propser won the District 9-3A championship, while Argyle was second and Sanger was third.
