Saint Jo teams qualify for CC regionals

Both the Saint Jo High School boys and girls cross country teams will be moving on to regionals after second-place team finishes at the District 18-A cross country meet Wednesday.
The Saint Jo boys finished with 51 points to place second behind Slidell, who had 43.
For Saint Jo, Coby Fleitman placed fifth (20:10), Nathan Cannon was ninth (20:51), Nick Moran was 10th (21:05), Kenny Holmes was 12th (21:41), William Phillips was 19th (22:40), Luis Solis was 23rd (22:55) and Luke Chaffin was 32nd (24:58).
In the varsity girls division, Slidell was first with 22 points and Saint Jo was second with 35.
For the Lady Panthers, Kate Weger was third (13:43), Chelsea Reeves was sixth (14:27), Kara Davis was seventh (14:29), Jessica Ramirez was eighth (14:33), Kyla Reeves was 11th (14:51), Chelsea Lanier was 13th (14:56) and Maria Schoppa was 15th (15:30).
In the junior varsity boys division, Saint Jo placed first with 30 points.
Shaden Clark was second (23:03), Garrett VonRee was third (23:17), Michael Davis was 12th (27:43), Josh Hale was 13th (27:59), Jake Pearce was 14th (28:00), Colby Ward was 18th (28:53), Joey Lindenborn was 22nd (30:28) and Brandon Mills was 25th (32:30).
In the junior varsity girls division, Saint Jo placed first with 26 points.
Leaha Reeves placed second (15:11), Macey Hall was fourth (16:21), Haley Hall was fifth (16:48), Arielle Amaya was seventh (17:46), Theresa Barnett was eighth (17:50), Cede Brewer was ninth (18:24) and Ashley Dennis was 11th (18:53).
In the junior high boys division, Saint Jo placed third. Cody Brimes was fifth (14:02), Garrett Parker was eighth (14:29), Shawn Cannon was 11th (15:11), Brandon Weed was 15th (15:48), Damien Lawler was 22nd (19:41), Colton Thomas was 23rd (19:46) and James Schoppa was 24th (20:01).
In the junior high girls division, Saint Jo was first with 28 points. Claire Weger was first (13:48), Brooklyn Lyons was third (14:37), Ashton Dunn was seventh (15:56), Morgan Dennis was eighth (15:57), Laura Terilli was ninth (16:16), Ariel Boelen was 10th (16:19), Paige Dauscher was 13th (16:40) and Skyler Hennessey was 21st (17:49).
