DENTON — The Sacred Heart Tigerettes had an easy 71-19 win over Denton Calvary Saturday in non-district basketball action in Denton.
The Tigerettes (2-0) led 19-5 after the first quarter and 45-9 at halftime
Kristin LeBrasseur led the team in scoring with 20 points, while freshman Mikayle Bartush added 18, Rebekah Hesse scored 8, Karli Anderle had 6 points and 10 steals, Devan Henry scored 6, Sydney Hoedebeck had 5, Kelsey Reeves added 4, freshman Kaitlyn Hesse had 2 points and 12 rebounds and Raynee Hogan scored 2.
“It was a nice effort by our freshmen tonight,” Sacred Heart coach Jon LeBrasseur said.
The Tigerettes will host Fort Worth Christian Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Tonight’s game with Valley View has been postponed until Nov. 23.
Muenster 62
Alvord 57
MUENSTER — The Muenster Lady Hornets improved to 2-0 with a 62-57 win over Alvord Saturday, but they needed overtime to do it.
The game was tied 55-55 at the end of regulation, but Muenster outscored Alvord 7-2 in the extra period.
The Lady Hornets jumped out to a 15-12 lead after the first period, but Alvord came back to take a 31-24 lead at halftime. In the third period, Muenster outscored the Lady Bulldogs 20-8.
Taylor Klement led Muenster with 17 points, while Demi Koelzer and Shaina Felderhoff both pitched in 16. Lia Heers added 5, and Allison Pagel and Lana Heers both scored 4.

Collinsville 20
SAINT JO — The Saint Jo Lady Panthers used a strong second quarter to pull away for a 49-20 win over the Collinsville Lady Pirates Saturday.
Saint Jo (2-0) only led 7-4 after the first period, but outscored the Lady Pirates 16-4 in the second.
Collinsville could never find their shooting touch. The Lady Pirates finished 7 of 38 (18 percent) from the floor, 1 of 13 (8 percent) on 3-pointers and 3 of 15 (20 percent) on free throws.
Kyla Reeves had 16 points to pace the Lady Panthers, while Ashley Dennis added 12.
For Collinsville (0-1), Candace Marlin had 5 points, Chelsea Petska and Danielle Fuller both added 4, Brooke Swindle scored 3, and Amy Castillo and Karli Koerner each added 2.
